The first of three panel discussions focused on artificial intelligence at the 10th annual East Meets West Conference, held at Prince Hawaii Hotel on March 15, 2024. I was honored to serve as moderator with Rep. Trish La Chica, Olin Lagon, and Ryley Higa, Photos courtesy Blue Startups.
A hyper-stylized visual series that moves through a dreamlike world of neon glamour, pop excess, and surreal symbolism. Across these images, luminous portraits, vintage cars, supermarket aisles, tabloid kiosks, glowing corridors, angelic figures, burning shopping carts, butterflies, petals, and theatrical fashion collide in a universe where luxury, desire, fantasy, and decay exist at the same time. The palette is intensely cinematic, dominated by electric pinks, deep violets, turquoise blues, molten golds, and glossy highlights that transform each scene into an immersive spectacle.
The collection feels like a collision between editorial fashion photography, pop surrealism, camp aesthetics, baroque drama, and contemporary visual fantasy. Faces are rendered with striking intimacy, while the wider compositions expand into extravagant environments filled with money, candy-like color, mirrors, chrome, fire, glitter, and symbolic objects that evoke beauty, excess, consumer culture, obsession, reinvention, and transcendence. Each frame balances sensuality and theatricality, mixing vulnerability with power, spectacle with emotion, and glamour with a slightly chaotic, dreamlike tension.
Taken together, the series reads as a bold visual narrative about fantasy identity and emotional excess in a synthetic paradise—luxurious, provocative, playful, and unapologetically artificial.
