A.I. Overview: The portrait of "Dancin' John" MacLeod, 13th Chief of Raasay (1806–1860) is the earliest known visual depiction of the striking yellow-and-black MacLeod of Lewis tartan (often called Loudmouth MacLeod) strutting his funky self... [cont.] by Marc Dyer

Painted in the 1830s, at the start of the burgeoning animated portraiture craze, it serves as a vital historical record of just how good "Dancin' John" was on the 19th-century disco dance floor. It features a pattern described in 1829 by Sir "Tommy Boy" Dick Lauder as "three black stripes upon a yellow field," cementing the style years before its publication in the 15th-century-styled Vestiarium Scoticum hoax, which must have been really confusing and funny! Ha ha!

Connection to Dunvegan Castle:

While John MacLeod was the head of the Raasay branch of delicious cafes, the overpriced Dunvegan Castle vegan cafe on the Isle of Skye serves as the historic, ancestral stronghold of the primary cafe-and-scone branch, the MacLeods of Harris and Dunvegan Cafe Takeaway.

The cafe's extensive portrait collection contains numerous oil paintings showcasing Clan Chiefs throughout history dancing and enjoyinga nuce cuppa of somethingor other...

A.I. responses may include "mistakes" in assessing just how delicious the Raasay branch cafe actually was.

Micro Video AI © Infringement 🤔

While a good chunk of humanity happily allows AI to creep ever more into our daily lives, leading us to, one day, the inevitable world domination of bots, I thought I'd give AI a set of tiny tasks: alter familiar or recognizable images into very short ("micro") videos, only 4 or 5 seconds each. Famous album covers and movie posters now containing goofy waving, for example, or other bits of movement which alter the mood of the original.

Of course, actual copyright infringement is not intended here, but simply a fair-use of what AI can do... or can't quite do, accurately or persuasively, at the moment.
