Award-winning photojournalist, Karim Ben Khelifa, is widely known for his coverage of the Middle East conflicts, especially the Iraq and Afghan wars, where he covered the insurgent sides. While a Fellow at the Open Documentary Lab at MIT, Ben Khelifa designed and prototyped his latest project The Enemy. This immersive installation uses VR to bring the audience into conversations between enemies within longstanding global conflicts. During his residency, he collaborated with Fox Harrell of the Imagination, Computation and Expression (ICE) Laboratory, to integrate concepts from cognitive science and Artificial Intelligence-based interaction models into the project to engender empathy.

EVOLVED - TEXT ONLY

For the prompt and the title I took the clue from an old analog drawing of mine. But I expanded the prompt with a description of another painting from the eighties, which included all kinds of sea creatures as uniform decorations.

The first image in this series was created with Contemporary Surreal. Much later I duplicated it , text only, for a challenge.

I liked the idea so much, I ran several different versions in different modes, some with text only, some with a seed image. The results were largely very interesting, so eventually I made a special collection for it. Check it out here: creator.nightcafe.studio/collection/KjkvnAI1xX91rYwWggRr - from time to time I may add more.

PROMPT:

Portrait of Old Man General Peckerhead in Purgatory; golden helmet, uniform decorated with crustaceans, Alphonse Mucha, h.r.giger, cryptid taxidermy, Bogomil's Universe, imperial colors, surreal fantasy

A real-time understanding of the medical device software testing is critical in improving operational efficiencies, increasing ROI, and keeping patient care safe. To strike a balance between mitigating cyber risks and improving patient care, hospitals need solutions to protect and manage their #medicaldevices and refine their security position.

The first-ever 1,000 Scientist AI Jam on Feb. 28 exceeded expectations by bringing together 1,500 scientists across DOE’s national laboratories to push the boundaries of AI-driven discovery and maintain U.S. leadership in AI.

The AI Jam convened the nation’s leading scientists to explore advanced AI reasoning models, applying them to complex, real-world scientific challenges.

Participants explored how AI could enhance aspects of research including hypothesis generation, experiment automation and computational modeling.
