The first-ever 1,000 Scientist AI Jam on Feb. 28 exceeded expectations by bringing together 1,500 scientists across DOE’s national laboratories to push the boundaries of AI-driven discovery and maintain U.S. leadership in AI.
The AI Jam convened the nation’s leading scientists to explore advanced AI reasoning models, applying them to complex, real-world scientific challenges.
Participants explored how AI could enhance aspects of research including hypothesis generation, experiment automation and computational modeling.
Symbol that combines the concepts of sentient artificial intelligence and free thought. The design merges a geometric shape, representing AI, with an abstract, free-flowing form that symbolizes free thought. This central motif is encircled by a mix of symmetrical and asymmetrical elements, depicting the structured nature of AI and the unpredictability of thought. The symbol includes elements that resemble circuitry patterns, indicative of AI, as well as open-ended paths or spirals, representing the fluidity and expansiveness of free thought. The color scheme is minimal, primarily black, with subtle hints of blue for the AI aspect and green for free thought. This symbol aims to visually capture the intersection of technological intelligence and the boundless nature of thought.
