Neltokoni in cuícatl (Talismans in Poetry) is a multichannel audio/visual poetry performance driven by a disembodied AI system consisting of three generative deep learning models trained on precolumbian sonic forms, poetry and imagery. The iterative performance presents a multisensory experience of the symbiosis between artificial neural networks and ancestral technologies of spirit; acting as a form of resistance towards colonial practices of language erasure by representing vernacular knowledge and forging new mythologies within artificial intelligence art production systems.

Ahead of the publication of the Commission's White Paper on Artificial Intelligence (AI), Renew Europe is the first political group to present a comprehensive vision about the use of AI in Europe, considering the key political implications for the current legislative period. We believe that AI can make a huge contribution to help improving the lives of European citizens and fostering prosperity within the EU. We propose investment capacities, data infrastructure, research, and the definition of common ethical norms to be regulated on the European level. Our goal is to establish a framework, which enables the development of trustworthy, ethically responsible and technically robust AI.

The growing interconnectedness of everyone and everything is transforming our world into an unprecedented techno-social environment. The boundaries between atmosphere and politics are being suspended; already, tiny ruptures can cause cascade-like repercussions – think of cyber-attacks or stock market crashes, right-wing resentment or hashtag-based protest. Such ambient revolts are increasingly driven by artificial intelligence (AI) – involving human interaction but seemingly beyond human oversight. Set against this backdrop, the conference poses the questions: What are the techno-social logics of both regressive and repressive tendencies? What are emancipatory movements up against? What potential do micro-political acts have in day-to-day life? What regulations of automated systems at the macro level will enable democracy to emerge in the age of AI? The Berliner Gazette conference will explore these questions in the context of performances, lectures and workshops.

#Facebook prepared to share #artificial #intelligence #technology.
On Thursday Facebook’s industry is changing open compute project. This took on one of the biggest important new field in technology, which is nothing but ‘Artificial Intelligence’. Facebook is preparing the designs of a latest computer #server for free, which runs #twice as #fast as before. It has designed to put more power behind artificial intelligence software. Now for the first time, Facebook is #sharing its own AI hardware design.
The new design called #Big #Sur, calls for eight high powered graphics processing units or GPUs (A single server oriented #GPU can have thousands of cores with little memory).
“We have developed software that can read stories, answer questions about scenes, play games and even learn unspecified tasks through observing some examples,” Kevin Lee and Serkan Piantino of Facebook AI Research (FAIR) said in a post.
Not only Facebook is ready to share artificial intelligence technology, many other technology companies are ready to do this.
Tensor flow software was opened by Google on #November; it is used for company’s speech recognition and image search.

Businesses across Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Internet of Things, FinTech, Medtech and Cybersecurity pitched to potential investors and incubators from the UK. The seven winners were announced at the reception hosted by the British High Commission in New Delhi, 11 December 2018. The winners were awarded an all-expenses paid trip to the UK. This photo was taken of the iconic Public Bank building in Kuala Lumpur, right in the heart of the city. With the help of Gemini’s artificial intelligence, I edited it in Fine Art black and white, emulating a long exposure to enhance the strength of the sky and the water. I then upscaled it with Topaz Gigapixel and finalized the adjustments in Photoshop, Luminar Neo, Nik Color, and TK9, carefully refining every detail until achieving the final result.
