vuelvo hacia ti, casa dormida.
Me visto de añoranza
para verme en ti renacida,
feliz en tu patio de lilas.
Ruido de juegos, cantos, risas,
sueños primeros, ilusiones,
patio arbolado, vida encendida,
jazmines trepadores,
sueños de niña.
La casa que me despertó a la vida
pasó..., todos se fueron,
nada quedó del patio de lilas.

There was the smell of mushrooms, those days, and the aroma of roasted chestnuts. They were beautiful days, blessed by a light morning haze that cleared away as the morning progressed. Today the days are long and still, but they won't last forever. Those days will return, along with the gentle sirocco wind.

C'era sentore di funghi, in quei giorni, e aroma di caldarroste. Erano giornate bellissime, benedette da una leggera foschia mattutina che si diradava con il trascorrere del mattino. Oggi le giornate sono lunghe e immobili, ma non dureranno per sempre. Quelle giornate torneranno, insieme al dolce vento di scirocco.
Tried the Canon out on the incense smoke shot for this frame. The lighting was a bit bright on the knob and cast a shadow on the incense smoke rising.

Eucharis is a genus of about 15-20 species of neotropical plants in the Amaryllis family, native to Central America and South America, from Guatemala south to Bolivia. Some species have become naturalized in Mexico, the West Indies, and scattered tropical islands. The English name Amazon lily is sometimes used for all species in the genus (as well as other genera), but is particularly used for Eucharis amazonica and Eucharis × grandiflora, which are often confused.

A wise photographer told me: "we try SO hard to make sharp sharp front-to-back-tack-sharp photographs, when these hybrid impressionist/crisp combos made with the lens wide open make flower photographs look JUST like the rose's heady aroma."
During one of my walks yesterday I noticed a very wonderful aroma in the air. After looking around I noticed a bush with many of these little flowers - I think they are the source of the aroma LoL.
