Flickr.., I'm disappointed in you.

Little of this, little of that... Lots of flowpaper.

Morning near Jenolean Caves (on the 6 ft track).

Using the iPhone app aremaC on an old high res image. I've used my preset creation 'Man Ray (black mackie)' which is in the online library in the Art category.

Hipstamatic, Blender, AremaC, ScratchCam

This is as hybrid as it gets... Taken with a Canon g12, edited with lots of iPhone apps, including AremaC - which is where I made this filter/texture to apply, and also, Glazeapp, which provides a painterly quality. And several more in between! ;)

filtered and edited with an iOS app called, #AremaC

“Weeping willow with your tears running down, why do you always weep and frown? Is it because he left you one day? Is it because he could not stay? On your branches he would swing. Do you long for the happiness that day would bring? He found shelter in your shade. You thought his laughter would never fade. Weeping Willow, stop your tears, for there is something to calm your fears. You think death has ripped you forever apart, but I know he'll always be in your heart.”

The failure is complete.

I turn my head and go away.

I took my share in this fight for the impossible.

Tonight's submission is from Steven, aka @xenophaedja, let's hear about his process.

The way I've been making pictures with the Iphone has evolved from initially making the image much as I would on a conventional camera: composing, then shooting. I now shoot mostly blind as I walk around capturing faces from as close as I can. I also shoot light, blurred by moving the iphone, interesting textures and the like. Then I do the actual composition either on the phone or ipad, cropping, blending blurred images or shapes to reflect the mood evoked by the expression of the subject.

I sometimes use Decim8 to create patterns I can use to frame or add drama to images with Blender.

Most of the time, I change the people images to black and white using either Noir or Snapseed. Some pictures, I stop there. Other times, I play with blending, or a handful of apps like IDarkroomHD, Scratchcam, Biglens, Aremac, MonoVu, Woodcamera, or RainyDaze.

I look for ways to draw the viewer to empathize with the subject.

A temple in Taiwan. I gave it a vintage look. AremaC app .

The edge of the sea is a strange and beautiful place. All through the long history of Earth it has been an area of unrest where waves have broken heavily against the land, where the tides have pressed forward over the continents, receded, and then returned. For no two successive days is the shore line precisely the same Rachel Carson)

Mobile Movies Showcase – Week 34 – by Donna Donato:

A shadow surveying a field of rippling ‘waves’ opens this black and white piece. The music created a sense of urgency to which the ‘waves’ seemed to respond. We are reminded again that beauty is everywhere.
