When you start to consider a trip to the Galapagos, there are three ways to see the islands and its heralded wildlife: by boat, where you sail for about a week on the same ship; by land tour, or via day trips, where you base yourself in one place and pay for a la carte experiences. Boat is my preferred way.
A typical Lofoten scenario where one encounters sunshine and blizzard side by side and that makes for a wonderful photographic experience.
This is my first ever daylight long exposure! :)
My girlfriend and I took a few days out and retreated down to Schierke in central Germany. Might I say, this is a place of absolutely outstanding natural beauty. I took about 820 photos when we were down there. Just down from our hotel, was a beautiful forest with a large stream flowing through it, well, what can I say, this to me was a playground and so nice to be breathing cleaner air than in Berlin.
I love forests and so this was an absolute treat; for any photographer of this kind, I recommend this area of the world big time.

As we are approaching Fredvang , other landscapes of incredible beauty appear to us.
Fredvang is a quite isolated village in Flakstad Municipality in Nordland county, located on the island of Moskenesøya in the Lofoten archipelago.
Vrångö is the southernmost island of the Gothenburg archipelago. Around 380 people live there the whole year round. On the island you'll find a post office, shops and schools, among other things. Fishing is still an important industry and there are six operating fishing boats on the island. The island is most famous for its beautiful nature reserves and excellent sandy beaches.
The inhabited areas of Vrångö stretches like a belt across the island, and the areas to the north and the south of this belt are protected nature reserves. The flora and fauna are diverse and there are many rare species to be seen. The bird life is also rich and provides a real treat for bird-watchers. In summer, the many bathing spots - from the sandy beaches to the rocky outcrops - draw many visitors.
