Daily App Experiment #328 "Fish Out Of Water" - took a picture with the normal camera app then ran it through the #FisheyeToyCam app. I then used the #diptic app to create a version of the image using the fisheye image on the left side and the normal image on the right. Finally I took the fisheye image and the diptic image and layered the together using #interlacer. #appsperiment #daily_appsperiment

Daily App Experiment #151: "Tecate Piñata" - This shot of a giant Tecate piñata that had been abandoned on San Carlos st, has been glitched out with #Decim8. I finally learned how to unlock the app's two secret filters; "Interface" and "L225". These filters are awesome in combination! #daily_appsperiment #appsperiment

Daily App Experiment #319 "Bleach" - I ran this photo through #noir to create a black and white image with really washed out light areas around the edges. I then took that b&w image layered it back on top of the original colored version using #blender's "screen" effect. The end result kept the light areas washed out while allowing the original colors to show through on the darker areas of the b&w image. #appsperiment #daily_appsperiment

- created by running an image through Percolator, and also running that original image through toonPAINT, then merging the two images and the original image together in DXP for the final composite.

created with the MagicShutter app with IG's Lord Kelvin Filter.

part of my Daily App Experiments series (on my Instagram). These were all done with an iPhone and the MagicShutter app. I couldn't have done these without my Glif iPhone holder and a tripod.

Daily App Experiment #363 "Disposable" - Inspired by the new Dotti update, which allows users to upload any photos from their album and send them as prints, I decided to take a photo and then take a screen shot of that photo... And a screenshot of each screenshot... Until I filled a roll. Here's the result. #daily_appsperiment #appsperiment

- A few days ago, @benbrown posted this cool pixel art on his Instagramhole. He was kind enough to send me the original to play with, so I used Juxtaposer to cut it out and lay it on a sunset photo that I processed in Decim8.

I did a couple versions of Daily App Experiment #63, each one turned out different. This was my second favorite.

Created with Decim8 and AutoStitch.

- after seeing a picture @edythe took of an antique ring, I thought it'd be cool to run the image through Percolator, then edit it in Juxtaposer so that everything in the image had been turned to bubbles except for the ring itself.

Flower captured and Claritized in Camera+, then run through Decim8. Result run through a few passes in PhotoSplash for color ways and then tweaked for color and contrast in Snapseed. Put through Snapseed's Drama filter. Manipulated in Photogene's collage maker to extend it. Mirror sections created in Photogene with cropping and combined onto the extended version in ImageBlender. Final result Claritized once more in Camera+.

I don't know how I missed this before, but #percolator and #decim8 play wonderfully together! I took a #hipstamatic shot of my skis while riding the lift, and ran it through Percolator before running it through Decim8's L225 & Agency filters. Also, the new version of Percolator is out now. Upgrade or buy it now! #appsperiment #daily_appsperiment

started with some pancakes from Mission Beach Cafe, ran the image through Symmetry. Then I wanted the image to look less flat/symmetric, so I used Tilt Shift Generator to make it look like my focal plane was slightly off axis.

Daily App Experiment 393: "Flashjack" - I've been playing around lately with different ways to work a real world camera flash into my iPhone photography. My favorite method so far has been using the flash in combination with a long exposure app to leave the shutter open, but get a crisp moment of clarity with the pop of the flash. This certainly isn't new to photographers, but I'm really surprised by the variety of results I get between different apps. My favorite so far is #lightbomb, a social sharing app for light painting fans. I set it to capture for three seconds then pop off a flash with a colored filter over the light. I've posted a bunch of cool examples on www.objectivescenes.com too. #appsperiment #daily_appsperiment

- I've been messing with the Decim8 app for the last week. This was done with Decim8's Veth & 2600 effects, then drawn in toonPAINT, and layered with DXP.

- this image was glitched using the Decim8 app, I took that version and ran it through toonPAINT to get a line drawing look. Then layered that version with the glitched one using DXP.

- I took a recent bit of prose that @xenijardin posted on Instagram, then I layered it with one of her photos using the DXP app. I then turned it into an animated gif using Motionoto app. more details here www.docpop.org/2011/01/daily-app-experiment-33-text-effect/

Daily App Experiment #179 "Portrero" - I posted the original photo yesterday. For today's #appseriment I ran the original image through each of #SwankoLabs filters, then merged all of those images together using #interlacer. #daily_appsperiment

Daily App Experiment 407: "paths" - two shots from Market St, stitched together using #truehdr, with some additional cleanup in #snapseed. #appsperiment #daily_appsperiment

Daily App Experiment #183: "Zeno's Escalator" - Assuming my numbering system is still accurate, today's #appsperiment is the halfway point! My goal is to create 365 #daily_appsperiment pieces and hopefully collect them in print. The first few months were easy, but there are times where this project feels too heavy to continue. Luckily, developers are constantly releasing new apps and updates to keep me motivated. Playing on the theme of moving forward, the above image was created by placing my iPhone on the ground and using #slitscan to record as the escalators move up and up. Rather than use Slit-Scan's normal "left to right" mode, I just let it record from one static vertical line, so the ground never changes, but each new vertical line shows the progress of the stairs.

Daily App Experiment 383 "Who Watches the Washers" - Took a photo of a window washer doing his thing on the side of our neighbor's office building. Ran it through #frontview to straighten the view then ran it through #shockmypic for the cool line effects. Used #filterstorm to layer parts of the original photo back on top. #daily_appsperiment #appsperiment

- Started with a photo of a mural in a clothing store on Valencia street and ran it through #DotCamera. The mural consisted of several brightly colored lines drawn horizontally along the wall of the dressing room.

Daily App Experiment #170 "In the Shadow of the Colossus" - I'm chilling at #MakerFaire when I finally get an idea for today's #Daily_Appsperiment. I set my camera on a flat surface and shot this picture of the gigantic sculpture using #SlitScan as it spun around. I them ran the pic through #PicSmoother a few times to get very clean gradients and lines. #appsperiment

Daily App Experiment #351 "Again and Again and Again and Again" - Shot this at #sundance with my regular camera app. It was at the end of a small ally, but I wanted to try to extend the scene more, so I ran it through #anticrop to extend it as much as I could and saved it. I repeated this extend and repeat 4 times to create this scene. #appsperiment #daily_appsperiment

Daily App Experiment #159 "Silver Bullet" - a shot of the northbound CalTrain pulling into the San Mateo station. This photo was shot with the #SlitScan app. #appsperiment #daily_appsperiment

- created with Decim8's Sigstop & Graboid filters.

- I'm happy to see other folks using the #appsperiment tag on their in-app-photo-experiments. I took a screen cap of some of these #appsperiment images and then ran it through Percolator's extra fine setting.

- a of subtle remix of a photo I posted yesterday. I ran the image through Decim8's Chip13h filter. Using Juxtaposer, I then put selected parts of the original image on top of the pixelated image.

Daily App Experiment 401: "A Temporary Offering" - created with the (not yet released) #popsicolor app. Then I used #imageblender to superimpose that image on top of a shadowy wall. #appseriment #daily_appsperiment

- I'm in the midst of a move and decided to take a picture of my new (and temporarily empty) room... which I then ran through the InvaderCam app. Not happy with the darkness of the shot and I wish you could use your own iPhoto images.

Daily App Experiment #232 "Dreams" - yesterday's #daily_appsperiment involved taking a #decim8-ed version of an image and merging it back with the original using #TrueHDR. Today I decided to take two Decim8ed versions of an image and merge them. I then did final color tweaking and texturing using the #iDarkroom app. #appsperiment

Daily App Experiment #301 - I'm smitten with #Noir right now. Usually

I prefer using it for black and white, for today's experiment I took a

photo and ran it through Noir two different times. The first time I

used a cyan hue, the second time I used green. Each time I used

different light/contrast settings and different vignetted areas, then

I took the two results and merged them in #trueHDR, with final tweaks

in #filterstorm. Resulting in this sometimes blue/sometimes green

shot. #appsperiment. #daily_appsperiment

Daily App Experiment #156 "Interface": A few weeks ago I started beta testing my friend @jeremybrooks's #Interlacer app. Now that the app is available on the app store, I wanted to share some of the cool things I've been making with it. For today's #appsperiment, I gathered a bunch of photos from the #Everyday photo app and ran them through Interlacer, which spliced the images up into alternating lines. The cool thing about using Everyday is that it allowed me to take several different images that all sort of lined up, making it easy to play around with for the #daily_appsperiment

Daily App Experiment #29: "Bomarr Blocks" I took this photo of @mattbomarr and messed with it in Pixelmania (to create a "pixelized" version). Then took a screenshot of that image and ran it through toonPAINT (which is a fantastic app). I dig how the big

Daily App Experiment #277 "In the mail" - this is one of those weirder #appsperiment projects where I really got to push the concep of making art entirely with apps. This picture of @zingarazumiko was shot with the regular camera app, then cropped and edited in Camera+. I then used an app called Tile-R to break the image into a 4X4 grid of 16 separate images. I ran each of those images through #decim8 for some additional lime effects, then sent each image to myself as #Postagram cards. This is a fun way to rasterize images as print and can be done with as few as 4 cards. I'll post a full how to on the @Postagram blog today. #daily_appsperiment #Tiler #rasterize

Daily App Experiment #118: "Inflatable Pop Art" - playing around with #StripeCam, which I found in the #appsperiment photo pool yesterday. I first edited the pic (which was from the recent #instawalksf) using #camera+, the stripe-ified it using the plaid setting. #daily_appsperiment #appsperiment
