He bows, ruffling his feathers

Dapper little gentleman

Poised in dress, to impress

Suited up in his best tuxedo

I send him a wink of approval

He twits back, tilting his head

The church Saint Elisabeth is the Catholic parish church of Eisenach. It was built after approval of the Grand Duke Carl Alexander in the years from 1886 to 1888 after plans of the Kasseler architects Hugo Schneider in the neo-Gothic style.

Church patroness is holy Elisabeth, landgravine of Thuringia whose life is closely connected with Eisenach and Wartburg. The Marburger Elisabethkirche – above all their tower form – was a model for the a lot of smaller Eisenacher construction.

In Eisenach which belongs to the heartland of the Reformation there had been more than three centuries no Catholics.

Only about 1840 a small municipality had originated from immigration for which on the property of the today's Elisabethkirche a small oratory could be established and be celebrated in the feast day of Saint Elizabeth of Thuringia, the 19th of November, 1844, the first holy mass.

Beautiful location, lots to see. Picture was taken @ Souls of Dreams

Birmingham city centre's most iconic building. ... In spite of all the things that goes on, The Rotunda has seen a lot of changes in Birmingham city centre and around it and the building continues to stand tall as it entered a new Millenium.

The Rotunda is a cylindrical highrise building in Birmingham, England. The Grade II listed building is 81 metres (266 ft) tall and was completed in 1965. Originally designed to be an office block, by architect James A. Roberts A.R.I.B.A., it was refurbished between 2004 and 2008 by Urban Splash with Glenn Howells who turned it into a residential building, with serviced apartments on 19th and 20th floors.

I am glad to say; this stood the test of time and remains a landmark for us, in Birmingham City... So just stand tall, stand proud. know that you are unique and magnificent. Because you do not need the approval of others!

Many thanks here, for your comments and compliments, my cool flickr friends !!!

From my 2005 Xinjiang Archives

.

Bezeklik Thousand Buddha Caves (柏孜克里克千佛洞), or Bezeklik Caves in short, is located on the cliff on the west bank of Mutougou, on the Flaming Mountain in the east of Turpan, Xinjiang. "Bezeklik" means "hillside" in Uighur and "decorative painting" in Turkic. There are originally 83 caves, 57 of which are still in existence. Among them, more than 40 have ancient murals covering a total area of 1200 square meters. Among the existing grottoes in Turpan, Bezeklik Caves has the most caves and the most abundant murals. It is one of the largest Buddhist grotto sites in Xinjiang and is also the one with the highest standard, which was once the royal temple of Huihu Kingdom (A.D. 848 - early 13th century) in Gaochang. In 1980, 134 lines of sutras and ink books with color illustrations of Manichaeism in Sogdian language were unearthed here. It is of great cultural value to the study of the existence and spread of this long lost religion in China. In 1982, with the approval of the State Council, Bezeklik Thousand Buddha Caves was listed as a national key cultural relics protection unit. Google

Almighty God's words "Those Who obey God With a True Heart Shall Surely Be Gained by God"

www.holyspiritspeaks.org/videos/the-truly-obedient-shall-...

Introduction

Almighty God says, "Obedience to God and submission to the work of God are one and the same. Those who submit only to God but not to the work of God cannot be deemed to be obedient, and surely neither can those who do not truly submit and are outwardly sycophantic. Those who truly submit to God are all able to gain from the work and achieve understanding of the disposition and God's Work. Only such men truly submit to God. Such men are able to gain new knowledge from new work and experience new changes from the same. Only such men have the approval of God; only this kind of man is one perfected and has undergone a transformation of his disposition. Those approved by God are those who gladly submit to God, as well as to His word and work. Only this kind of man is in the right; only this kind of man truly desires and seeks God."

HIstoric Building waiting for approval to be renovated

Earlier this summer, street chalk artist Robert Mott asked for approval to use one of my Flickr images as inspiration for a chalk drawing to be done at a special event in Harrisonburg, Virginia. I said, "Sure." My original image, "Mexican Brass," is on the left in this diptych. It was captured during a 2015 Cinco de Mayo celebration in Sedona, Arizona. The image on the right was provided by Robert, and shows him at work on the chalk drawing.

Upon the approval by the ICC of the Ogden Gateway court case in 1967, select Southern Pacific trains began to run through Ogden with Rio Grande crews to Roper Yard in South Salt Lake. The agreement was still in effect as SP SD45T-2 No. 9398 leads an eastbound train into Roper the afternoon of April 15, 1984. Southern Pacific locomotives were turned here and returned to SP rails at Ogden via a westbound train.

I am posting two images together since they look somewhat similar in terms of the mountain range in the background, but they were taken from two different vantage points (facing different directions).

The Palatinate wine bar (Pfälzer Weinstube) is located

in a listed half-timbered house, built in 1520

was. Until 1982 it was used as a residential building and forge. 1983 it was then stylishly restored to a wine bar.

The supporting oak beam from the years 1520 remained here completely preserved, it underlines the historical character of the Palatinate wine bar, which is one of the most beautiful

Wine bars throughout Germany.

The nose shield or signs (Nasenschild), also a boom, is a traditional form of advertising. It is an advertising sign that is anchored on the wall of a restaurant or shop and protrudes at right angles, like the nose from the face, from the house into the street space. It is considered particularly suitable to draw the attention of passers-by to a shop and is designed in such a way that its mark can be seen well from both sides.

Occasionally, the term "figurehead" is also used for nose shield (signs), but this is usually used in the figurative sense for something (or a person) who acts as a special symbol for an institution or organization.

Herford is a town in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, located in the lowlands between the hill chains of the Wiehen Hills and the Teutoburg Forest. It is the capital of the district of Herford.

Since the Middle Ages, the inns pointed out their function to passers-by with a leaf wreath suspended above the door.

In the German-speaking world, nose signs were often made of iron by blacksmiths with considerable effort. The advertised craft or the offer of a merchant is not pointed out with text, but with figurative signs - for example guild signs. In many cities, the affixing of such a sign was subject to approval by the guild or council.

Restaurants with traditional names such as "Zum Hirsch," "Zum Bären" or "Zur Post" also drew attention to themselves with a pictorial representation of their name.

Like border patrol. As he should be, his family is in need of his intimidating capabilities to ensure their safety. On this early morning he was coming to check me out in my kayak. It felt like he was going to ask for my passport. lol Not gonna lie, I was nervous, If he didn't like what he was seeing he would come at me with a vicious flapping of wings and ear piercing vocal sounds, but he let me pass to take pics of his new family. If he didn't want me there I would have turned around, his approval meant more than the shot. I have more Loon images than anything else, it is apparent how much I love them. I pray he makes it back this Spring to raise another family.

Today's overwhelming shareholder approval was official regarding the G&W takeover, so here is one from much happier times. GP40-3 #3003 (with engineer Brooks Cardwell keeping the seat warm) works train WX-3, rolling through the Nine Yard at Worcester, MA with an inbound stack train enroute to ICI in South Worcester on December 28, 2007.

I took things for granted back then. Now Id like to go back to these times.

North American/Canadian Porcupine, Erethizon dorsatum. "The porcupine is the only native North American mammal with antibiotics in its skin. Those antibiotics prevent infection when a porcupine falls out of a tree and is stuck with its own quills upon hitting the ground. Porcupines fall out of trees fairly often because they are highly tempted by the tender buds and twigs at the ends of the branches." -- Wikipedia
