I had a medical appointment yesterday in a part of the city I don't normally go to, so brought my camera. Doesn't everyone bring their cameras to appointments? :) I don't remember the last time I was in this mall, but found it very interesting with all the layers, colours, glass and reflections. I tried it in black and white as well, but I liked the purple and the wood, so kept it in colour.

This photo was made last Friday morning on the way to a customer appointment. It felt like it had been raining non-stop for two days, but shortly before my arrival the cloud cover suddenly opened up and at least gave a glimpse of sunrise.
I was amazed by the mood lighting. Now all I needed was something to photograph as a foreground. Just at that moment I drove past this place and the decision was made. I turned, drove back and floated across the field in a suit and business shoes to find a composition before the window closed again. The picture, cold fingers and protective shoes were the result.
Dieses Foto entstand am letzten Freitag morgens auf dem Weg zu einem Kundentermin. Es hatte gefühlt zwei Tage ununterbrochengeregnet, doch kurz vor meiner Ankunft öffnete sich plötzlich die Wolkendecke und liess den Sonnenaufgang zumindest erahnen.
Ich war begeistert von der Lichtstimmung. Nun brauchte ich nur noch etwas, was ich als Vordergrund fotografieren konnte. Just in diesem Moment fuhr ich an dieser Stelle hier vorbei und die Entscheidung war gefallen. Ich wendete, fuhr zurück und bin mit Anzug und Business-Schühchen über das Feld geschwebt um eine Komposition zu finden, bevor sich das Fenster wieder schließt. Das Bild, kalte Finger und schutzige Schuhe waren das Ergebnis.

Analogue appointment / date books of years past ... outdated in two respects - at least if you ask the younger generation ... handwritten scheduling seems to be an alien concept to them ; ))
The book of 2020 remained almost empty, at least after mid March
I don't keep all date books of yesteryears, but some I still have tucked away in my drawer to look through from time to time

Verrückter Dienstag - Thema am 4. Mai 2021: Veraltet / Überholt / Altmodisch
Analoge Terminkalender vergangener Jahre ... veraltet in zweierlei Hinsicht - jedenfalls wenn man die jüngere Generation fragt, für die handschriftliche Terminplanung eher ein Fremdwort ist ; ))
Der Terminkalender für 2020 blieb fast leer, zumindest ab Mitte März ...
Ich bewahre nicht alle Terminplaner von früher auf, aber einige habe ich noch in meiner Schublade liegen, um sie von Zeit zu Zeit durchzusehen

I had to go to the Veterans hospital in Temple again. It's over a hundred miles from my house or about an hour and a half drive and I had an 8am appointment. So, I left early because I didn't want to get caught up in early morning traffic. Since I was early, I started looking around for benches..;) Drove by this one and pulled over for a shot.
I had the appointment so they could schedule me for an appointment to biopsy my prostate. I asked if I needed to bring someone with me to drive me home. The doctor says, It's no big deal. I googled it and the Internet says it hurts like hell.
"Bring a friend for the 10.30 appointment..."

A small section of the bark of a Mugga Ironbark Tree. Measuring 55mm across.
I am a long way behind today. I had an early physio appointment that was also a long one. Progress is good but it will be another 2-3 months before I get any where back to normal movement and strength.
