🇬🇧 ¤ History: Founded around 654 by Saint Philibert, the abbey applied the Rule of Saint Benedict from the outset and grew rapidly. In 841, it was devastated by the Vikings, whose raids forced the monks to abandon the site for almost 10 years. After the creation of the Duchy of Normandy, William Longsword, the second duke, encouraged its revival. (to be continued)
¤ The gatehouse: The 14th-century porch, through which visitors enter, features beautiful Gothic architecture with sculpted keystones. Looking up, you can see a leafy man's mask on one of them. The entire building was remodelled in the late 19th century in the Neo-Gothic style. It houses the reception area and exhibition rooms installed in the apartments of the Lepel-Cointet family.

I thought I'd give the extra tall tier a try - OMG! Covering that sucker was hard - my fondant is puckered all over (mercifully the photo hides it).
The design is cut from chocolate fondant, using an image I found online.
applique preprinted graphics for eyelids....my sister sent them to me....there are also animal prints, camoflauge
This is not for the pillow swap but I thought you'd like to see it anyway. It's the first time I have tried this kind of applique and I love it! Must do myself one when I get five minutes.
My first medium format frame! I've eventually succumbed to the lure of a medium format camera, albeit a TLR older than I am.
I didn't expect it to turn out so well, it was a steep learning curve to operate the camera and even load 120 film. Trying to view and focus using a TLR and correct parallax error. The shutter refuses to fire most of the time, as you have about ten separate conditions to fulfil before it works. I was also using a new cheap film, that I though would be rubbish. Also I wasn't sure that trying to fire my Elinchrom flashes would even work. And I'd replaced the light seals myself, so plenty of room for light leaks. What sheer luck that the first ever frame was sharp and well exposed!
