Annapolis Royal is located in Nova Scotia and has history leading back to the 16th century. And, that is saying something for Canada. It is a quaint and delightful place, rather like stepping into an Agatha Christie novel but without the murders. I got an early start that day heading out before dawn and was rewarded with colors in the areas I had scoped out the day before.
The historic downtown area of Annapolis, Maryland, is full of colorful houses, shops and restaurants. This back alley leads toward the historic Capitol Building.

The channel between the Lower Savage Islands, Nunavut, Canada, opens onto Annapolis Strait with Baffin Island beyond.
With this first photo from Annapolis...where I have just moved...I am trying to express my emotions...wobbly, unsettled, upside down and yet full of anticipation. I have been overwhelmed with the details of this move but wanted to at least make a token offering taken on Spa Creek.

The historic downtown area at sunset. I meant to zip around and photograph more than just the state house but my controller's right joystick stopped working correctly, which made navigating a bit of a problem!
