The earliest fortification on the site was constructed in the 8th century BC by the Phrygians and rebuilt in 278 BC by the Galatians. The castle was rebuilt or renovated under the Roman, Byzantine, Seljuk, and Ottoman empires.

A smart building system has been implemented in the Doğramacızade Ali Pasha Mosque. The lighting, heating, and cooling systems of the mosque are controlled by computers, and the heating, cooling, and ventilation systems operate according to prayer times. As per the schedule, the heating or cooling system and ventilation systems are activated 30-45 minutes before prayer times. The Doğramacızade Ali Pasha Mosque was honored with the Abdullatif Al Fozan Mosque Architecture Award in 2023.

İhsan Doğramacı tarafından babası Doğramacızade Ali Paşa adına yaptırılmıştır. Erkut Şahinbaş'ın mimarı olduğu Türkiye'nin ilk teknolojik camisidir ve sadece ibadet hizmeti vermektedir.

Doğramacızade Ali Paşa Camisi'nde akıllı bina sistemi uygulanmıştır. Caminin aydınlatma, ısıtma ve soğutma sistemleri bilgisayar kontrollü organize edilmekte, ısıtma, soğutma ve havalandırma sistemleri namaz vakitlerine göre çalışmaktadır. Yapılacak programa göre ısıtma ya da soğutma sistemi ile havalandırmayla ilgili sistemler namaz vaktinden 30-45 dakika önce devreye girmektedir. Doğramacızade Ali Paşa Camii, 2023 yılında Abdullatif Al Fozan Cami Mimarisi Ödülü’ne layık görülmüştür.
