IT WAS ONE OF THOSE DAYS, when nothing was happening, we all have them, was sitting in the hide, waiting, and willing this tufty to swim past this area of reeds that was being highlighted by a brief show of sun, which also meant it had to go past the hide, eventually it took a mad rush, hence the large wake of water, and luckily, managed to capture this one. Les lamas je les ai croisés lors de la Marche pour les animaux, à Nice, le 28 avril 😍

While visiting my daughter in Texas one of my Grandsons had a field trip to the Crocodile Encounter. My daughter and I decided to go and see what it was all about and try to catch a glimpse of my Grandson. We all had a fun time and the weather was fantastic. I even held a snake and a baby alligator! They had lots more animals then just Gators and Crocs!

Something different for today. Prayers for folks next-door in Alabama that got hit by tornadoes last night. We awoke to a tornado watch at 3 a.m. but everything is calm here. Check out the videos of the 2 guys & their dog driving through the wildfires in Gatlinburg, Tennessee (Michael Luciano) ... I don't know how they got out of there - angels no doubt. These rains have hopefully helped with the fires.

This portrait was taken at the Taman Safari Park outside of Jakarta. I have seen quite a few crowned cranes in the wild in Africa, but never with the right light etc. to make into a dramatic portrait.

I don't remember whether this was a black or grey crane. If I remember correctly, they housed both in the same area. The light is playing tricks on me when I look at the series of images I took. I will just call it a crowned crane.

I saw this beautiful young swan in the water, very calm, serene and elegant. Such contrast between the swan and its dirty surrounding makes me think of Cinderella.

I was at Cape May Point State Park, New Jersey for a weekend of nature photography when I saw this Great Blue Heron make several passes over the pond I was near. I was glad to capture a couple shots of this interesting bird in flight near me.
