I started my RAGEkitty a few months back but now that I have the actual AngryKitty body I have my completed RAGEkitty! This version of Unikitty is probably the most fun to play in The LEGO Movie video game; she shoots fire beams out of her horn and smashes her head down on the ground to destroy enemies :D

A friend of mine pointed out a LEGO Ideas project for the RAGEkitty and although it would be fun for LEGO to officially release it... I do find that the weight distribution might be tricky to fix unless a whole new mold was made for RAGEkitty's head, making it lighter.

Anyways, RAGE!

Its kind of crazy when you go through something difficult, the amount of changes happen in your life. A month ago today my father passed away and this month has been filled with a lot of changes: people who I havent spoken to in years or dont speak with often reaching out and and giving their love and support; others who I thought were close have distanced themselves. Its very eye opening. Some big decisions I've had to make on where my future is headed and a lot of my goals put on hold. Its a journey, really. I am touched by how supportive people have been towards me, the LEGO community, (specifically ToroLUG) brought tears with their kindness and the all the LEGO. Thank you everyone who messaged, called, dragged me out of my house and fed me, entertained me, or just sat with me. I cant help but be so happy for the life I have and the people in it.

Measuring at 7feet tall and 5feet long, RAGEkitty is my largest MOC yet!

First assembled at BrickWorld Chicago, I had never previously fully put her together and took a chance on my mediocre calculations and designwork that she would fit come the event. The LEGO gods heard my prayers cause she fit perfectly and didnt tip over ! (Yes, and those curious, there is a wooden beam counterbalancing the head with the body that runs from the front leg all the way up to the left ear, because gravity dammit!).

Nominated for Best Creature at BrickWorld Chicago! I had initially intended on getting better photos once I got home but as of right now I dont care to put her together for perhaps semi-decent photographs - as I have never photographed anything this large. I did want to at least post a picture that showed the scale, hence silly me in the photo!

Sadly I wont be attending any more brick conventions this year so this was her one and only showing, but I'm happy that it was successfull and I can say I did it!

Lego minifigures

I'm afraid I'm addicted to the LED Key Lights… Angry Kitty is enroute to my greedy mitts now!

Just need to make an Andy Dwyer minifigure

She is actually a very sweet kitten just very scared of dogs =)

I know, it always seems like there is some crisis going on with one or more of my animals. I guess when you have 69 animals (50 goats, 13 cats, currently 5 dogs including the foster, and one cockatoo) someone is bound to be sick or injured. Well, Max came to our home last Friday and he just had to add to drama - he came down with Parvo Virus over the weekend!

Poor Max was soooo sick with almost non-stop vomiting. I really thought I was going to lose him. But one of the other woman who foster for our Humane Society gave me some stuff called "Parvo Guard". Apparentely you can only buy it on the internet. I looked it up and thought "oh yeah, sure it works that well". If she hadn't told me that it really did work, I wouldn't have believed it. If anyone has ever had a dog or puppy with Parvo, you know how deadly it is. Well, I used the Parvo Guard and within hours he stopped vomitting and within 2 days he was up and running around like a puppy should! I really feel like this was a miracle! And I'm so happy that he made it... he's such a cutie!

But now I'm worried about Pokey and Darla. They've had the vaccine, but I'm still concerned that they could get the Parvo too. I'm keeping Max in quarantine, but Pokey and Darla were already around him quite a bit before he got sick. Please say a prayer and cross your fingers that my two little kiddos don't get sick!

Here's the website for the Parvo Guard:

www.parvoguard.com/

It's not inexpensive, but it's cheaper than paying the vet for IV fluids etc, that usually don't work for parvo!

Lions have the habit of yawning really wide when you get a bit close. It is actually just a way for them to show off their teeth, and make you keep your distance. Even this small Lion cub already demonstrated this inborn Lion behaviour.

Week Four: A picture of a picture.

This photo comes from a crazy Japanese website of old cat costumes. At one of my old jobs, every time things got stressful, my department would go look at that website and giggle uncontrollably. (Our favorite was always how pissed off the cats looked. Oh MAN.) When I left that job, one of the women I worked with printed and framed this one, my favorite, for me to remember them by.

The caption from the website reads:

A Cat with long red hair!? Here comes the Star of the masterpiece "Anne of Green Gables"! Let her play the leading role in the masterpiece "Anne of Green Gables"! Isn't her coquettish red hair cute? Let's give her a broom and this lady with little red hood, is likely to start cleaning up your room. :-) The country-tone blouse are made of the same material as the hood, presenting a consistency in the appearance. The yellow flower in the center of the collar is impressive as well! All ornaments are velcrod and can be attached or detached easily.
