Art installation of bird cages at Angel Place, Sydney
Love this place, one of my favourites.
The two angel statues in the Lujiazui Central Green Area (陆家嘴中心绿地). In the background the SWFC and Jin Mao Tower - before somebody asks, the Shanghai Tower is completely hidden behind Jin Mao from this point of view.
Blue tone by setting the WB to "Tungsten" and flashing the angel statues. WIth AWB and no flash you'd get green angels and a brown sky - yuck!

The Angel dress by The Annex was my inspiration for this photo. There was just something about it that just captured my attention. [read more]

I just love the folds moving in the non-existent wind of this angel.
The angel is one of several decorating Ponte Sant'Angelo - the bridge was originally called Pons Aelius (Aelian Bridge) and built in 134 A.D. by emperor Hadrian to connect the city and his mausoleum, supposedly by the architect Demetrian. It was later also referred to as pons Sancti Petri (the bridge of St Peter) because pilgrims used it to get to the St Peter's basilica. And in the early 7th century it was given the official name of Sant'Angelo, to match the name-change of the mausoleum to Castel Sant'Angelo.
In the 15th century the bridge was used to display the bodies of executed criminals.
The angels now adorning the bridge were commissioned in 1669 by pope Clement IX and made by students of Bernini under his directions. This particular one, holding a column, was made by Antonio Raggi
Angel eyes - am I deceived or did you sigh'
For all I know you let you love light
Shine on me
Angel eyes - you never close, who's got the time'
I can wait until your love light
Shine on me
Angel eyes - seems to me you fill the skies
I'm far below so let your love light
Shine on me
Angel eyes - on the wing and open wide
No matter how high the moon
Shine down on me
Young Burrowing Owl (owlet) exercises his wings at sunset. I blended in a textured background to increase the artistic value. I usually try to keep photos natural but thought this one deserved a matching background to the glowing backlit wings. Since this owlet is small and the feathers are scarce the sun really flowed through.
Thank you for any comments.

Earth angel, earth angel
Will you be mine?
My darling dear
Love you all the time
I'm just a fool
A fool in love with you
Earth angel, earth angel
The one I adore
Love you forever and ever more
I'm just a fool
A fool in love with you
I fell for you and I knew
The vision of your love, loveliness
I hoped and I pray that someday
I'll be the vision of your ha, happiness oh!
Earth angel, earth angel
Please be mine
My darling dear
Love you all the time
I'm just a fool
A fool in love with you
I fell for you and I knew
The vision of your love, loveliness
I hope and pray that someday
That I'll be the vision of your ha, happiness, oh!
Earth angel, earth angel
Please be mine
My darling dear
Love you all the time
I'm just a fool
A fool in love with you (You, you, you)

Yes I am getting all spiritual again, great innit?! I was in Potsdam and headed to a small forest I knew about, the Sun was at a particular point in the Sky which at first I didn't notice, when I took the shot of what I thought was going to be a basic and/or mundane pathway shot through a small forest, I reviewed it and noticed this fantastic Sun-glare, when I took just one step backward and took another shot, the Sun-glare was gone, when I took two steps forward and took the shot, it was gone again, so when returning to the exact spot and again taking a further shot, the Sun Glare was there, it was a chance in a million to get it at such a finely tuned, acute angle of the Sun through this tiny gap in the trees, which had I'd been one foot further I would've missed it completely.
The fact the glare line cuts right through the path, it had an Angelical feel about it, as in, this is the way dear boy.
I hope everyone is holding up well, and so as always, thank you! :)

I wish I had your pair of wings
Had them last night in my dreams

* In many ways this shot of the Angel glacier on Mount Edith Cavell is fairly poignant .While it looks so beautiful I know that we might be the last generation to see the splendour of a Glacier
It seems wherever the are right wing populists there will be a denial of science whether its climate or health . The Trump regime will not even allow a mention of climate change in its agencies . With people like this in power there is a little chance that we can save the planet from overheating . They don’t care, I can only assume they think their billions will protect them . I can never decide are they evil or just utterly stupid

Unnoticed
transparent in the hustle ....
a rush though,
a rare glimpse
of energy
so that, when fully realized
we wonder with mouths and hearts open.
A prayer to all sentient beings
to the realization of their enlightenment.
For their liberation from lower rebirth in the realms of Saṃsāra.
To their ultimate attainment and ascension to the blissful state of Nirvāṇa.
By the gracious and merciful blessings of the holy one, and of all enlightened beings.
