- This Triumph was styled in “razor-edge” looks by Giovanni Michelotti, designed with 93 percent glass area and an airy interior with sharp and modern styling.
- The choice of the “Herald” name suggests that the car was originally intended to be marketed as a Standard, as it fits the model-naming scheme of the time (Ensign, Pennant and Standard itself).
- This four door Saloon has a four-speed manual gearbox (synchromesh on 2nd, 3rd and top), shaft drive, a dashboard of grey pressed fibreboard, a single large speedometer with fuel gauge, a SU H-series carburettor, a 30 liter fuel tank and rear wheel drive.
- The chassis with steel body (bolted to the chassis) has a 91.3 inch wheelbase, independent coil suspension with double-wishbone and hydraulic telescopic dampers at the front, single transverse leaf spring independent with swing axles controlled by radius arms suspension with hydraulic telescopic dampers at the rear, rack and pinion steering, fine-barred aluminium grille, padded dash top, loop-pile carpeting, a heater, front disc brakes and drum brakes at the rear.
- For better accessibility of the engine was chosen by a forward tilting hood with the fenders. However it distorted fast and dirt came easy through.
- It had a solid but separate chassis with a lot of screwed (rather than welded) body parts (including the sills and roof) so many variants were possible: this Convertible, a Saloon, a Coupé, a Courier Van and an Estate.
- The AMI 12/50 (Saloon and Coupé) was built by Australian Motor Industries from parts shipped from Coventry, but with a many great differences from UK spec., such as a Vitesse bonnet, its four angled headlights and no sunshine roof.
- An overdrive, twin SU carburettors, Telaflo shock absorbers, leather seats, a wood-veneered dashboard, a folding / sliding (Webasto) vinyl-fabric sunroof (standard on the Skylight Saloon), a temperature gauge and two-tone colouring were optional.

Avui ha sigut l'últim dia de circulació d'un Talgo per terres franceses després de la supresió dels Elipsos de Paris aquesta setmana, el suís i l'italià fa un any i el Catalán fa 3 anys. Així doncs, el meu homenatge al Talgo Mare Nostrum ve amb una Nez-Cassé al front, amb les primeres llums del dia passant entre les llacunes salades de Port-la-Nouvelle el passat dia 6. A partir de demà, el tren quedarà retallat fins a Barcelona.
Hoy ha sido el último día de circulación de un Talgo por tierras francesas, después de la supresión de los Elipsos de París esta semana, los Elipsos suizo e italiano el pasado año y el Catalán, hace 3. Así pues, mi homenaje al Talgo Mare Nostrum viene con una Nez-Cassé en frente, con las primeras luces del día pasando entre las lagunas saladas de Port-la-Nouvelle el pasado día 6. A partir de mañana el tren quedará recortado hasta Barcelona.
Today has been the very last day of circulation of Talgo trains in French soil, after withdrawal of all other Talgo services in France (Elipsos to Paris from Madrid and Barcelona this week, Elipsos from Barcelona to Milano and Zurich last year and Catalan Talgo from Barcelona to Montpellier 3 years ago). My tribute to the Talgo Mare Nostrum comes with a Nez-Cassé locomotive (series BB7201 to BB7440) heading its run through salt lakes in Port-la-Nouvelle, with sunrise lights enlighting it last Friday, December 6th. From tomorrow (December 15th) this train will run only between Barcelona and Cartagena/Lorca.
Aujourd'hui a été le dernier jour de circulation d'une rame Talgo pour sol français, étaient tous les autres services radiées (les Elipsos pour Paris, Milan et Zurich et le Catalan Talgo). Mon hommage vient donc sur la main de cette belle nez-cassé en tête du train au pas pour les marais salants de Port-la-Nouvelle avec la lumière des premières heures du matin. À partir de démain, ce train circulerà seulement qu'entre Barcelone et Cartagena/Lorca.

Ami’s parents died; she lives with an uncle who cannot afford school fees for her or her three siblings. Ami left school after the second grade and would like to be a nurse, but even if her family could pay the fees, there are neither enough schools nor teachers for eligible Sierra Leonean children.

Raphaël es alguien que conocimos en Cusco y a quien no le gusta los pantalones, vino con nosotros una semana hasta Lima compartiendo nuestra vida en la Kombi. Un chico muy divertido que recomiendo para algo mas largo que una amistad de solo un viaje.
Raphaël voyage en slip. C’est comme ça qu’il se fait des amis… Et puis le hasard a fait qu’il nous à suivi quelques jours entre Cuzco et Lima. Pas très hygiénique mais c'était vraiment bien.

I buonissimi biscotti salati all'anice dell'Amiata vengono dall'antica tradizione toscana. Ogni famiglia del posto conserva la sua ricetta come un piccolo tesoro. Cecilia Sacchi ce l'ha portata qui alla Fattoria del Colle. Questi biscotti salati servivano per accompagnare il vino, in particolare quello rosso, durante il lavoro dei campi e oggi sono il più piacevole e tradizionale abbinamento agli assaggi fuori pasto, perfetti per gli “apericena”!
