After 8 years using my previous PC build based on Intel 3770, I decided to upgrade and go with AMD this time around.

This is my first time building with AMD processors, but overall, apart from the zero insertion force socket, everything went well. Not smoothly, but it went well.

I build my own PCs and I name them after Artificial Intelligence from novels, movies, or video games.

My previous build was so named SHODAN (Sentient Hyperoptimized Data Access Network) from one of my all time favorite games, System Shock.

This new build is named Neuromancer, an AI from the 1984 novel of the same name, authored by William Gibson.

Gigabyte announces mini-ITX Ryzen motherboard.

This new board uses AMD's new AM4 socket, introducing AMD's Ryzen chips to the world of mini PCs. The AB350N-Gaming WIFI is based on AMD's overclocking friendly B350 chipset and features a stell-reinforced 16x PCI-E 3 slot, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, a M.2 SSD slot and Fusion RGB lighting on the edge which will be controllable via Gigabyte's software. Gigabyte also say that the board can accomodate AMD's top-down Wraith cooler without limiting the height of memory modules that can be installed.
