Contrails (short for condensation trails) or vapor trails are line-shaped clouds produced by aircraft engine exhaust or changes in air pressure, typically at aircraft cruising altitudes several miles above the Earth's surface. Contrails are composed primarily of water, in the form of ice crystals. The combination of water vapor in aircraft engine exhaust and the low ambient temperatures that exist at high altitudes allows the formation of the trails. Impurities in the engine exhaust from the fuel, including sulfur compounds (0.05% by weight in jet fuel) provide some of the particles that can serve as sites for water droplet growth in the exhaust and, if water droplets form, they might freeze to form ice particles that compose a contrail. Their formation can also be triggered by changes in air pressure in wingtip vortices or in the air over the entire wing surface. Contrails, and other clouds directly resulting from human activity, are collectively named homogenitus.
Depending on the temperature and humidity at the altitude the contrails form, they may be visible for only a few seconds or minutes, or may persist for hours and spread to be several miles wide, eventually resembling natural cirrus or altocumulus clouds. Persistent contrails are of particular interest to scientists because they increase the cloudiness of the atmosphere. The resulting cloud forms are formally described as homomutatus, and may resemble cirrus, cirrocumulus, or cirrostratus, and are sometimes called cirrus aviaticus. Some persistent spreading contrails contribute to climate change. R_825
Curiosidades : Pequeña ave insectívora y forestal, fácilmente reconocible por su característica cresta de plumas. Habita una gran variedad de ambientes arbolados, principalmente bosques de coníferas, aunque también aparece en encinares, alcornocales, melojares y otros bosques de frondosas. Solo está presente en la Península.
Mientras hacéis un recorrido por el palacio, imaginar un poco de música y hará mas amena la visita.

Creo que caminamos mas de 1 Km y no terminamos de visitar todos los ambientes, es interminable pero merece la pena.

Casa Macchi - Torre Panoramica
Dopo quattro anni di restauri il FAI, con il Comune di Morazzone (VA), inaugura un nuovo Bene, Casa Macchi. Casa Macchi, una tipica dimora borghese di provincia, che si è conservata intatta per centocinquanta anni e che Maria Luisa Macchi, unica e ultima proprietaria, ha lasciato per testamento alla Fondazione nel 2015, con una generosa dote necessaria ai restauri e alla gestione, perché divenisse «un museo vivo che dia lustro a Morazzone».
Casa Macchi apre al pubblico dopo quattro anni di lavori: è stato il più complesso cantiere di restauro diretto dalla Fondazione, che ha coinvolto centinaia di professionisti, dagli strutturisti agli storici.Tutto è stato conservato: restaurato, o talvolta solo pulito. Sono stati conservati le macchie sui soffitti e le crepe nelle pareti, le mancanze, le rotture o gli strappi negli arredi e nei tessuti, i vecchi rubinetti e gli interruttori in porcellana, e perfino i segni della polvere impressi dai centrini di pizzo. Nulla è cambiato, ma il cantiere ha interessato ogni singola cosa, dal giardino al soprammobile: perché ogni singola cosa, unita alle altre, fa Casa Macchi.
