As a kid Danny was always a bit jealous of his mates when they mentioned they were 'going over me nan's and grandad's' because he grew up not knowing his grandparents. His dad was a violent domestic abusing alcoholic. After he left, Danny's mum met a man who would become Danny's step dad and would be seen as his dad. He was a Barnardo's boy and was just grateful for everyday. His love of life and difficult tough upbringing created a massive character and he would happily roll up his trousers and sleeves of his shirt to show people the machine gun bullet scars all down his leg and arm from his injuries while serving as a paratrooper at Arnhem in 1944.
Danny just wanted to be the best grandparent he could be when his grandson was born but just a year later Danny was diagnosed with stage 2 cancer of the bowel. There was also the possibility it had spread to his liver. After he got the news he said it "frightened the life out you and I thought, that's it, I'm going to die. This is the end, he's going to grow up not knowing how much his granddad loves him". After making many mistakes growing up, Danny went on a journey of redemption and being a really good grandparent that he never had, was part of that.
As a kid growing up in Dagenham, Danny bunked off school and started sniffing glue with his mates in a nearby park. For 2 years he sniffed glue on more days than he didn't, and this progressed to anything he could get his hands on. When he couldn't afford glue he syphoned petrol out of a car and sniffed it out of a crisp packet until he swallowed some and thought he was going to catch on fire when someone lit a cigarette near him. From tins of gas to LSD to ending up in prison over Christmas and doing heroin in the cell he was in.
The gas was like glue as it "completely fried your brain and gave you a mental buzz". He now realises the dangers but then as he popped the lids of the tins to head behind the church it was a way of heading into a world of "hallucinations and sheer madness". He wonders now why he wanted to the buzz that took from away from reality as he says "I was loved by my family but it seemed the only time I was happy was when I was stoned or creating and causing trouble for myself and those around me".
He would steal anything that he could and sell drugs. On one occasion he was asked if he had any LSD, he didn't this time but not wanting to miss an opportunity he sold the unexpecting 'ravers' a cut up Embassy cigarette packet into little squares and they bought it. Strangely they enjoyed it so much they came back and bought some more.
He remembers regularly going into an amusement arcade and becoming friendly with the owner. One day while the owner was making Danny a tea, he took this as an opportunity to jemmy open the back of one the machines and rob the coins from it. The owner came out and chased Danny. In the struggle Danny head butted him and ran off. He would then come back and use the stolen coins in his machines. He describes himself an "absolute vile little wanker" and finds no excuses for his behaviour.
He lived a fairly charmed life as some of the people around him weren't so lucky including his best mate from school. Their paths went in different directions when his friend got into heavier crime and was sent to prison for 12 years for armed robbery. Danny would still visit him regularly including when he was in Parkhurst for 9 years. He came out and never returned to that life, but became a builder but sadly took his own life in a park where they played as kids. Someone saw him walking along with a dog lead that day and they nodded to each other but didn't think anything of it, in fact no one had any idea he might do what he did and he left no note or phone message. Danny will never hear him say "I love you Danny Fenn" and it hurts.
Danny now does events and talks with the police to try to get across to the younger generation that the police have a massive job to do but he thinks it's important people hear from both sides. He knows the police have to get the message across that they aren't the enemy. He says they are not there to incriminate or discriminate but to help. There is a huge gulf between different sections of society and all sides need to address this for a more positive outcome. He is part of a Facebook group that promotes local businesses in the Essex, Kent and London areas. They also have people who can advise on money problems and there are trained counsellors. The group also help out local charities and they have helped many people get employment through their pages. Quite often supermarket vouchers are stuffed through his letterbox and he takes them to the shops and then finds people who he thinks might need a hand with their bill and hands them the vouchers.
Danny's love of books and literature has influenced him to write and become a poet. He regularly reads to appreciative audiences including me when we met. And has had books published of his work.
One of his poems is called Atonement and contains these lines:
"See these hands have stolen to feed addictions
And now I detest all types of criminality so I guess that makes me a mass of contradictions
This here soul is now pure and true
To seek solace and redemption is all I yearn to do
This here body pure blood flesh and bone
In the form of a middle age man
Forever seeking to atone"
On his recovery from cancer from Danny said "With the help of those around me, those who loved me, those who care, I was made to fight with the help of a great team at Queens hospital. The oncology team- Professor Tahear, a little Iranian fella saved me life" He kept fighting because as he said he now had the chance to the "best grandparent in the world or the best grandparent he could be". He finished off by saying "You know what, life is absolutely beautiful, loads of miserable sods out there, let them carry on being miserable and moaning about things. Change what you can, what's beyond your control, let it go over your head and enjoy your life because one day it will all be over".

This is the mystery new grocer in the Willow Place Shopping Center at 5430 West Broad St, Richmond, VA.
This store opened in 1993 as a Food Lion and closed in 2017. In 2022, construction started on this building to be built as "Grocer at Willow Place" (and shopping the shopping center owner would not disclose the tenant). The tenant still has not been officially disclosed, however the current buildout definitely resembles an Amazon Fresh grocery store. Being the trend with other Amazon Fresh grocery stores under construction, this one has never been completed after Amazon halted the construction of all stores that were being built.

I designed this logo for an ANALYTICS business startup company. they are usually going to start up a business by which they will find a query and go to their customer's house and search about the problem and solve them. They have another motive they will analyze some natural things and will come up with a solution. They are one kind of researcher who loves to research many things on need. As their name was "ADVANCED ANALYTICS PTY LIMITED" I designed the letter A with a search button (magnifying glass) which indicates their search and research or analyze based company which visualizes their work area and industry. They have gone with this and it made their brand a step forward.
In color psychology, I used the color Woodland and Portland Orange. Color WOODLAND visualizes nature and especially olive color, It is related to their business. the color PORTLAND ORANGE indicates the improvement and strong desire to satisfy their clients fully.
