Kayapó indigenous fire brigade members celebrate graduation from the fire prevention training course supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), with instructors from the United States Forest Service and Mato Grosso fire fighters.
Fire in the Amazon is in the news. Imagine my chagrin to hear Brazil's president blame conservation groups and indigenous people for setting the fires! Work is hectic. My attention is needed by my users, team, and systems.
Being a dad and husband is daunting. I owe it to give my attention regardless of the work day.
It's these rare moments of quietness where I don't have to think, say anything, or make a decision that I enjoy the most. I can relax my brain, warm my heart, and simple be... enjoy.
