Anyways, Its starting to get warmer again and I'm definitely coming down with.. SPRING FEVER! xD I've been really nostalgic for summer. I miss its warm touch on my skin, its long days and cool nights, its beautiful stars, its warm waves crashing on hot sand. -sighs-

I kinda like this wig on her but it's too big (SD size)....that's when the hat gets useful. I adore this outfit I was able to put together for her. It used to be in her to give away clothes, I just put it back in her closet.
1st in my series of four images from the 'Just Saying', which I displayed at Rock City Art between the 22nd-27th May 2015.
Whilst in some ways a literal take on thinking outside the box with the Danbo peeking out of the top, the usage of the Danbo itself creates a twisted abstract irony, as the Danbo box itself is attempting to escape from the confines of its trapped box world and see the wider picture.
Each of the images from my series 'Just Saying' portrays either an idiom, a proverb or a saying. The proverbs or sayings include idioms from the UK and those recognised internationally.
The series of conceptual images visually narrate proverbs and sayings using creative explorations of photography and mixed media supplemented by the use of props.
My images are fine art narratives using toys in human situations. Cultural references such as idioms, and societal references to Generation Y's obsession with self-image/narcissism, portray, convey, and question life and its challenges to the human condition. The images highlight my ability of using scale to mislead the observer, with the toys ranging from 1/4 size to 1/76 size.
As soon as I opened this box I put it on the floor, and it's not been emptry for long ever since. Here Meow gives it a try.
This will be where I am. Its where I am now. Not necessarily the now when you read this, but definitely the now when I wrote it.
Danbo's first public appearance. I spent way to much on him on eBay (irony?) from Japan. He's very excited to see "New York" for the first time.
Also, I am supposed to be unpacking and cleaning and cooking.
At least the meatballs are simmering on the stove.
My baby girl is 12 on Sunday.
She doesn't really play with mice, she loves the long kitty string toy we have when she's in the mood to play so haven't bought her any toys. I will give her a special dinner on Sunday though. Grilled chicken perhaps, it's been a while she's had it as K hasn't been eating it. She always insists on sharing his food at every meal time.
I am thankful for my little photography muse, Danbo. ^_^ For all the creative inspiration he gives me and fun I have creating my Danbo images. I love my Danbo so it's only fair I recognise him in my gratitude project.

"Baby in a Box"
So, somebody turned seventeen months old today!! Where has the time gone, right? I have no idea. Anyway, I had intended to shoot my first drone portrait today, but it was not in the cards. Go to backup plan!! Naturally, we were all excited when our Amazon shipment of diapers arrived...........and it came in such a cool box. The little one wanted to climb in it immediately, so I obliged. I then dragged her (in the box) to the sliding glass door for a natural light portrait. I opened up my 100mm macro lens all way to a 2.8, and took four exposures. She worked her magic, and this was the result. I don't have much else to say, aside from the fact that I am very fortunate. Thanks for passing through!
