I had the pleasure of listening to an interview/discussion between Charles Whitehead (right) and Rev Nicky Gumbel. (Sorry about the pun - I know it's been used many times before!)
For those who don't know, for the last 20 years Nicky Gumbel has been the prime mover of the 'Alpha Course'. Although I've met him a couple of times before. I was very interested to learn that, outside Europe, Alpha is growing faster in the Catholic Church than in other branches of Christianity.
Charles Whitehead is ex-Chairman of ICCRS - the International forum of Charismatic Renewal in the RCC.
I found another church on High Street in Henley-in-Arden. But it now has something to do with The Alpha Course.
I think that it is the Henley-in-Arden Baptist Church.
The church first met in 1688. The first chapel was built in 1822. In 1867 George F Muntz gave money for a new chapel to be built of Wilmcote stone. Unfortunately a disastrous fire in 1936 left only a few walls standing but the chapel was rebuilt and reopened in September 1937.
I didn't see the sign on the left, otherwise I would have got it. Another shot of the door, but with the steps in front of it.
