Iceworld
Another shot from my Diorama series.
The idea was to do a setup with a visible aurora in the sky. Some DIY iceworld stencil cut.
A77 + Walimex Pro 8mm with several aperture for the lights. Instant Aurora was done with a green & yellow gels mix on a foil dimmed Flash in continuous light mode.
Straight out of cam shot! No Lr or further editing.

So that's what New Zealand's Northland looks like. Well, that's actually only a small part of it, called "Giant Te Paki Sand Dunes" but it looks like a proper dessert.

Double expo: Soft flash for the macro eye first, then stepped to Tripod 2 and fired up a stencilbox in strobe mode while zooming. Some star bokeh for the win..... :P

I follow the great Troy Paiva for years now....and I´m never tired to see his outstanding "lost America" series!
Step over to his channel and look at his stunning pictures taken at abandoned lost places.
I´m a car fanatic and petrolhead....and every time I see those classic beautys slowly rot there I ask myself why nobody save them....
However...I had this idea for ages to do that in miniaturized diorama style.

The Salvation of Dr. Hans Reinhardt
I´m a big fan of the Disney movie „The black hole“ since my childhood.
It was and still is fascinating and scary at the same time that Dr. Hans Reinhardt will stay there for all eternity........epic.... :) :P
I had this idea for ages.....happy how nice it turned out. Some tries with a tricksticked stargate in the background looked nice too, but I love the simplicity here.
Double expo in one photographic exposure: Sony a77 @f/9, some DIY stencil cut out work, a orange gelled & foil-dimmed torch, 2 soft gelled flashes @1/128 power left & right in Maximillians head......... :)

Triple expo + tripod swap with a77 & standard kit lens 18-55mm in a 485sec shot.
Start with silhouette flash, then swap to another tripod for the CRT Bokeh, step to the 3rd tripod and lit up the spiders shelter.
I hope the spider in my tube forgives about disturbance of the peace.... :)

We found this pretty quiet spot on the very end of spirits bay. We were told to be very careful when swimming in that water because we might have some company there. While looking at the waves, we found a stingray quite close to the beach.

Für dieses Bild musste ich ganz tief in die Trickkiste greifen. Die Brennweite war viel zu kurz weil ich eigentlich ganz andere Bilder machen wollte.
Also habe ich mit DXO entwickelt und gecroped, mit Topaz Sharpen AI ganz leicht geschärft und dann das 900 Pixel große Bildchen mit Topaz Gigapixel AI auf 4000er Kantenlänge vergrößert. Entrauscht würde hier mit Lightroom. Das Bild hat eine ISO von 2000.
Das Ergebnis finde ich erstaunlich. Es spricht vor allem für die tolle Qualität des Objektivs, aber natürlich auch dafür, was Software heutzutage alles kann.

I had to dig deep into my bag of tricks for this picture. The focal length was far too short because I actually wanted to take completely different pictures.
So I developed and cropped with DXO, sharpened very slightly with Topaz Sharpen AI and then enlarged the 900 pixel image to an edge length of 4000 with Topaz Gigapixel AI. The image was denoised with Lightroom. The image has an ISO of 2000.
I find the result amazing. It speaks above all for the great quality of the lens, but of course also for what software can do these days.

Besitzen, aus Angst, dass es die Kreativität killt....Aber wenn ich mir die Möglichkeiten betrachte und man es angemessen einsetzt, sehe ich es als einen enormen Zuwachs an kreativen Möglichkeiten! Was hältst Du davon?
Eine Mehrfachbelichtung ohne photoshop! Keine Nachbearbeitung in LR. Straight out of cam! Objektivtausch und Stativwechsel während der Langzeitbelichtung. Cheers!

I´ve suddenly got my little Trickstick, which I already supported in December 2016 at Kickstarter. I actually never wanted a Trickstick, because I was airfraid that it would kill the creativity.... But if I look at the possibilities and if you use it right I see it as a huge growth of creativity! What´s your opinion?

A lightmare before Christmas
Another lightmare before Christmas collab shot here with my brother in light Matthias @kein100h2o. It was the best idea to spend my night with him in a dirty tunnel and do some lp stuff!!...next morning my family was happy to get warm croissants from the bakery..... :)
