(So basically I went there at not the best time, hah!)
The weather was the worst I had ever experienced: lower than -20C, 50km/hr strong winds. No cell signal, only relied on downloaded AllTrails app. Followed that offline navigation, hiked 18km in that no people area. With trapped snow, stones, and ice… and strong winds, felt the end of the world. But the blue ice cave in front of me was so attractive, where the blue region looked like so close, but it was 2km away. The rest 2km distance walked on ice most of time… My camera was almost frozen, not a perfect photo, but showed the hiking road to glacier.

A beautiful, crisp and quite windy walk to the incomparable Aster Park Overlook Point. In the background you can see Rising Wolf Mountain (I call it Spumoni Ice Cream Mountain because of the colors - Rising Wolf sounds far cooler though)!
If you have a look around this scenic picture, you may even find something that quacks!

Check out this 3.5-mile out-and-back trail near East Glacier Park Village, Montana. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 1 h 41 min to complete. This is a popular trail for hiking, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day. The best times to visit this trail are April through October. You'll need to leave pups at home — dogs aren't allowed on this trail.

The April 2006 National Geographic published the article "Glen Canyon Revealed" with a picture of Reflection Canyon by Michael Melford. Since that moment, hikers have made a hard and difficult 16-18 mile round trip hike to see this unique and spectacular serpentine channel that marks this canyon. Individuals considering this trek beware, this isn't a hike for inexperienced hikers. There isn't any reliable water sources. There are several steep grades. The shot location takes shoes with grip as you traverse steep slick rock. The final 3 miles hasn't any recognizable reference points to the hilltop where he took his photo. For those that read this description, here is the trek into Reflection Canyon and out. It was a very challenging hike. The hike in where I hiked past my destination. www.alltrails.com/explore/recording/reflection-canyon--380. The hike out www.alltrails.com/explore/recording/reflection-canyon--382. This picture was taken shortly before sunset, which explains the background having the light. Especially with 50 mile ridge blocking the sun for the middle and foreground.
This shot was taken on the Condor Lookout Trail. At the top you have a great view of the Paine Grande and the Cuernos (horns) del Paine and Lake Pehoe. On the Island in the lake is the Hotel Pehoe.
I hope everyone had happy holidays and a merry new year. I wish everyone a super fun happy #2020 and may you capture all of the precious moments you want.
Checked off one from the bucket list. Last time I was in Patagonia the weather was so bad I was not able to do the treks I had planned. This year I decided to give it one last try. I was blessed with awesome weather and an amazing hike that I will never forget.

Arnsdorf - Berlin
354 Kilometer
8.08. - 11.08.2020
Schöne Gegend doch unklares Wasser im See.

I don't particularly like shooting when the sun is out. I feel like I am struggling with my photography. I've moved from my comfort zone shooting the city at night and I'm just not terribly excited about my recent photos. I'm learning again.
The thing I love about flickr, you can look back and see where you have been and how you have improved over time.

The view as I started on the Miller Point trail at Cathedral Gorge state park. From here, I could not clearly see a path going down, but I trusted my Alltrails app to guide me. The sky was cloudy and overcast at this point, and my hopes for a colorful sunset quickly vanished. I was determined to complete the hike, though, and in the end, that proved fruitful as the sky cleared up and some color came through.

The bike rides are getting longer. Not sure if it's as my fitness levels increase or just being anywhere except stuck in the house. It's a long day after getting back but enjoying it.
Today's ride took in Chester and the Groves then through Handbridge to Eccleston where I picked up the path that runs alongside the River Dee and is adjacent to Eaton Hall, The Duke of Westminster's Estate. The path comes out in the beautiful rural village of Alford having picked up the public right of way which is one of only a couple of public access points that crosses Eaton Hall.
The bridge itself was designed by Thomas Telford and construction finished in 1824. It forms part of the Buerton Approach to Eaton Hall, though access for the public is across a field from Alford which is signposted from St.John's Church.
NB. If you have a camera with you and it's early morning then expect to be asked what you are doing. I have been asked on both of my visits here.
This is the short circular walk that starts and finishes at The Grosvenor Arms. Or alternatively there is a longer walk from Eccleston.

The Crystal Mill, or the Old Mill is an 1892 wooden powerhouse located on an outcrop above the Crystal River in Crystal, Colorado. I researched this for months before finalizing plans to visit this historic Colorado landmark. It is a nine mile out and back hike to get to it. I researched hiking websites (alltrails.com), Colorado Tourism, youtube videos and logs by other photographers that have ventured out there. One of the things that people don’t know about me is that I love to plan. Plan adventures that is. I pour alot of research into my travels. I call it adventure with purpose. I’ve shared a few photos from this site previously but I thought I would share a few more. All of these images were shot with my 16-35mm wide angle lens. Each time I head out, I intend to capture something someone else hasn’t done yet. I like to envision a new angle or use a technique that I think could apply for each location. Home base for this short roadtrip was Aspen, Colorado. We drove about an hour and a half to reach the trailhead of the hike. The beginning jaunt is up a hill about a quarter of a mile. I will tell you that I honestly thought about turning around. I watched videos of people driving it in 4x4 jeeps but it just do it justice till its your feet hitting the trail.
