Great Egret

You probably can tell that this is one of my favorite subjects. I'll put some of my other postings of great egrets in flight in the comments.

This is another one from the vault. This is from a Florida trip a few years back in the Everglades National Park. I was actually setting up the camera to shoot this location not even knowing the alligator was there. Once I saw him there was no time for a tripod, he was swimming right into my frame. So this is a quick handheld image.

We had to get off the beaten path to find one of these guys in nature, but we ended up finally finding several. We kept our distance to respect their habitat, oh, and because they have those massive teeth. There is always that.

Catfish supper. Watched as this Gator caught and then made his way to the lake side before devouring his catch

No otters, no raptors, no kinger close ups. Had three hours at Canada Farm hide yesterday morning, no wind, not much sunshine but lovely and peaceful, miles away from motorways and other traffic - almost paradise.

I thought this was very whimsical folks, he just slipped out of the water very quietly and came to rest on this rock.

Big Cypress National Preserve, Florida, USA, Loop Rd, If you have some extra time at hand when cruising the TaMiami Trail from east to west or vice versa, then take the gravel road detour through the swamp and you will have the chance to see wonderful wildlife.

There should be a rapper with this name. Maybe there is.

I found this creature made of bike chains.

Pretty and cooler to start the week and nice reflections

I decided to take a picture of how people would see them posing behind the national geographic frame. What I found interesting is how the little kids would grab onto the frame, two-handed, and pop their little heads behind it as if a built in national geographic mechanism said to do that.

Get another angle here for high-tec alligator boy.
