52WEEKPROJECT: Week 10

I finally caught up! I think I am getting better. At least I am more happy with my results. This is a self-portrait taken in the garden of my college. Thank you Harry for your help!

I had this image in mind for my A2 Project because I am working on the concept of growing up. However, I think this image goes further this idea. Is about self-hate, repression, inner conflict... I would love to hear your opinion!

We set out lives by time, do we ever take the time to stop and fantasise and use our imaginations and realise is this really how we want to live our lives.

self portrait from when I was bored and ill.

reached number 7 on explore.

I'm starting to develop a sore throat again now...

I've had lots of inductions at uni, did colour dark room on monday, was soo much fun, we just learnt how to do prints and were told how to develop negs, but we haven't actually developed negs yet.

Done the whole process for black and white, but I'd done that before anyway in my Alevels several years ago, but was easier using the dry to dry machine but it did take allot out of the whole process, nothing better than seeing your image coming through when using the wet darkroom.

I have so many photos of becca

another from my stopmotion for art alevel

for my 'Gangs and Mates Now' photography project. one of nine stereotypes at my school.

the concept and message behind this series of images is to present the audience with a view of what the subject wears everyday, giving them the opportunity to see how this person has been judged or classified as, and to re-adjust thier opinion.

basically- the more you see of someone, the more they become a person and less a stereotype. the clothes don't make the person. :D

prep- abi.

52WEEKPROJECT: Week 11

Hello! I am so exited to share this with you! Today I finished my A2 Exam Project and this picture is part of a series called "In-Securities". I developed a collection of pictures as a result of the success of the image 'Monsters Under My Skin'.

This self-portrait is obviously inspired by R. Magritte, one of the most amazing artists ever.

I will be uploading soon the rest of the collection in an album. I feel so proud to see how much have I improved my photography. I hope you have a nice day as well!

This photograph was taken in Birmingham for my A Level photography exam, where I focused on Architectural photography.

Revision for my exams is full steam ahead, I've replied to my university offers, and my last day of high school ever is fast approaching - less than a fortnight to go now!

Everything seems to be moving rather quickly, but I haven't been able to resist a couple of trips out to catch the sunset seeing as the evenings are getting brighter. I'm really going to miss this beautiful island when I head off to university...

Getting closer to the A columns of the fourth floor carpark at Adelaide Airport. The columns are lettered starting from the north wall to the south in an effort to help parkers remember where they parked their cark. Each floor is also colour coded.

This is another photograph from my final set of photographs for my photography A-level exam. I took these photographs, edited them and printed within a course of 15 hours. I really did not think I could achieve the 6 photographs I managed to create within this time limit but thankfully, I got my head down and completed all of them. Some of them were better than others but I managed to stay on target and hopefully this will pay off for me.

I recieved my Art&Design Exam project for Alevel,

called 'Cinderella's Umbrellas'

It has to be a DVD cover

including rain and or Open Umbrellas,

So I've started experimenting with raindrops,

just gaining some ideas for the cover.

I realy like this, so I hope you do too <3

for my portraiture project.

I finished my 15 hour final photography A-level exam today. Within the exam I created six different photographs which I have thought about and developed my ideas for six weeks prior to these 15 hours.

At the beginning of these six weeks I chose the stimulus 'Backstage' - provided by the exam board. I really wanted to experiment with portraiture work therefore I came up with the idea to photograph models with stage make-up on. I felt that through the images the element of drama should be portrayed, hence the heavily theatrical influence. At the time of this I was also preparing for my drama theatre exam, which further influenced the grotesque almost "horror" circus look/nature of the photographs I have created; as my piece was about the horrors of the circus. My aim for my pictures are to show emotion through facial expressions and make-up to show that these "people" are created for a purpose, backstage.

The technological aspects such as the way my photographs are lit are inspired by Irving Penn and his well known use of shadows within his portraits. I believe this gave my photographs a further element of drama further conveying the nature of work produced backstage.

52WEEKPROJECT: Week 12

This picture is part of the development of my AS Exam Project. Is not particularly original, I am not really exited about it, but is all right. Thank you Harry for being my model!

Sometimes we are so afraid to fail that we don't even try to achieve our goals. The photograph tells a story about a dreamer who, afraid of making his desires real, attaches himself to the comfort of his dreams.

About my life... I died my hair today, I am ginger! The next week I will be taking some self-portraits so I can show you! Wish me luck for my exams!

Looked at the weather the night before and noticed the cloud was going to be 'partly cloudy' which was great since it had been overcast the previous 4 times I went out. I awoke at 4 am to capture the sunrise at 6am from this view I had picked out a while back.

Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico.

I aimed to photograph the stars above the mountain of Kinder but decided to leave a little earlier to capture the golden sunset over my home village.

A difficult shoot, having to run back and forth with the flowers with my camera on timer.

Tomorrow's the big day...

Results are going to be put online...

And I'm having a really hard time these days...

Its making me dead nervous.. I just get this feeling that its going to be really bad..

So bad that it could be perhaps THE END of my life...
