Almost summer, but already feels like dying because of a heatstroke :(
So photo inspired by me just suffering in this weather and wanting to be at least in a pool lol
the title is from a sad song by janice ian, one of four in this playlist... best enjoyed when feeling depressed and/or lonely... or if you just want to mellow.

Not sure of history as its known by many names. Quite a sprawling estate and made for a nice couple hours exploring.
The man down Italian toll tour. Taking in some Italian delights on a 4 day explore.

More experimenting with alcohol ink. Found it fun to blend color on the page but it is hard to control. A little goes a long way.

#werbung
Shot for FlickrFriday's "Numbers" theme.
Subject
A mostly full but far from new bottle of Pendleton 1910 Canadian Rye stands next to a seemingly ready glass. Actually this Canadian stuff is too sweet for me and is only consumed by visitors who don't like to drink my Scotch.
Lens
SMC Pentax-F 1:1.7 50mm in manual mode.
Lighting
This scene is entirely backlit.
The room was almost entirely dark and the exposure lasted only one 6000th of a second. The light comes from a Pentax AF540FGZ behind and to our left of the bottle. It's illuminating a portable whiteboard.
The light is wired to the camera using my DIY RJ45 PTTL cable extender.

What better way to spend a stormy day than indoors drinking beer, and I had to open quite a few before I found a cap I liked :D... only joking!
I kept this beer bottle cap from a while ago because I liked the colours and thought I might be able to do something with it.
I haven't been able to take a really good pic of this boy in a long time! Soren is at that stage where he tends to make weird expressions when facing the camera. If I can get him genuinely laughing, as I did here, he is incredibly photogenic.
I snapped this at the almost former (as of 3 pm today) Warehouse 21 in Santa Fe. W21 will be demolished today to make way for the new and improved W21, a place for teens to hang out and express themselves without alcohol, drugs, or violence. Since Soren will be 13 in less than a month, I thought this an appropriate place to shoot a good teen portrait of him.
My baby! Almost totally grown! Wow.....

A little glass of sherry before lunch (nice in a trifle too)!

Before 2020, whenever you traveled to France by car you needed to have an alcohol test with you. So when you were stopped by the French police they could ask you to perform the test, using your own stock. Since 2020, however, this not longer obligatory. The test I captured expired in 2019.
