You are of course free to think whatever you want. However, I do have a regular weekly set of alcohol-free days. Works most of the time. There are some side-effects as you can see. It's not easy. Fuji X-Pro1.
A composite grid of nine small images that has just been awarded a FIAP gold medal in the Southampton International Exhibition 2023 (for best creative colour print). I was delighted to get the news a few days ago.
More experimenting with alcohol ink. Found it fun to blend color on the page but it is hard to control. A little goes a long way.

Lens: Leitz Wetzlar 100mm f/4 Macro-Elmar-R from 1978, used at its widest aperture.
Strobist:
1st flash: Wall behind filled with Canon 430 @ 1/8 power
2nd flash: Metz 52 with softbox @ 1/16 power from top-right on the bottle and glass.
Both flashes configured manually and triggered with Yongnuo wireless transmitters.
A funny detail, which I realized only when post processing the photo: The glass to the left is exactly at a distance from the (blurred) white background-wall, so that the structure is put back in focus due to the lens-like characeristic of the glass! I'm still not sure whether I like or dislike this detail... (you probably need to look at it in large size to see it)

in österreich 18-36 monate in steingutgefäßen gelagert, danach für 6-24 monate im holzfass. dadurch entsteht die feine holznote und der charakteristische farbton.
dass ich das mit # werbung kennzeichne, ist reine vorsicht.

ich hatte lediglich lust, ein schönes bild zu machen.

Shot for Macro Mondays, theme "Single Use".
Before 2020, whenever you traveled to France by car you needed to have an alcohol test with you. So when you were stopped by the French police they could ask you to perform the test, using your own stock. Since 2020, however, this not longer obligatory. The test I captured expired in 2019.

ok, so I'm sitting on the opposite side of the couch and Wei is sitting with Kelly, and Wei's girlfriend, Joyce is sitting next to me. I had just ordered Joyce two glasses of water to keep her hydrated (I was the only person in the group that didn't drink anything at all that evening) and then Wei and Kelly start pulling these moves to get Joyce's attention. Joyce by this time was exhausted from all the dancing, I of course knew what was going on and how funny this would get and kept snapping the action as it happened!
Is it my imagination, or have I finally found something worth living for?
I was looking for some action, but all I found was cigarettes and alcohol.
You could wait for a lifetime, to spend your days in the sunshine. You might as well do the white line, cos when it comes on top . . .

Small alcohol ink done on yupo paper and made into a card. My first try with this medium... so much fun!
A snifter of brandy and a cluster of dry rowan berries against the dark background. The whole composition is backlit by candlelight. Everything presented on this photo is really natural. The brandy is of French origin, the rowan berries are naturally dried, the candlelight is the light of a candle. ) The texture was added artificially. Feel free to say your cheering and warming toast in the comment section under this great piece of art. Or just give a salute in the shape of a small star.
