I don't pay a lot of attention the Ashland Railway as I drive around northern Ohio. I have them in my radio and they have strong radios but the Willard turn often has one of the NS turds leading south and the Ashland turn has always been 1 unit and most often one of the GP38's. It could be one facing either way.
A couple weeks ago, I heard them switching in Ashland and with some time went to see where they were. I found this pair with a string of box cars sitting just north of downtown. But there was no crew on board and there was still switching chatter. Before long the other GP10 came along with a few plastic pellet hoppers and was heading toward town and the end of the line. I was not able to find out why so much power or how long the string of box cars was.
Caught a nice power set returning to Mansfield on ASRY's weekday turn to Ashland. Here they are coming around the horseshoe curve just north of Mansfield before dropping down into town. Behind the power is milepost 264 showing the distance on the former Erie Lackawanna main to Salamanca, NY.
Ashland Railway's GP-38 #2023 brings train AJ1 around the horseshoe curve connecting the former EL mainline with the Lake Erie sub-division of the former B&O's Newark Division alongside NS's Ft Wayne line at West Mans on 6/17/2020.
~AJ1's Royal~
My new AJ1's are called "Royal~, I love getting deals on my AJ1'S and buy all mine, except a few, on Ebay. These I paid only $80. The Raiders colorways, I paid $160. I love the dark colored AJ1's and so GLAD these aint popular, which influences the prices on Ebay. If these didnt have the paint splatter these would be VERY expensive and hard to find.
All AJ1's come with two different colored laces...This pair here I left the laces on here with this pic, I normally take them off before taking their photos...This pair of AJ1's came with Royal & Obsidian colored laces.

A new take on the classic Air Jordan 1 “Royal” colorway has hit the market, this time on a mid-top instead of the classic OG High. Following up on the release of January’s “Obsidian” mid-top, Jordan Brand has now released a brightly-speckled take on one of their most well-known kicks. Although the shoe’s base colorway draws a good deal of inspiration from its timeless OG predecessor, it also presents a modernized look with the addition of black, red and orange paint speckles adorning the toe box, swoosh, heel, and collar, similar to what we’ve seen from innovative sneakerheads who splashed paint on their once-pristine Levi 4’s. A red Jumpman tag on the tongue finishes the shoe’s look off. Like the modernized take on a legendary sneaker? You’re in luck: these speckled Jordan 1 mids are available now at Nike.com.
