An aisle is more specifically a passageway to either side of the nave that is separated from the nave by colonnades or arcades, a row of pillars or columns. Like in many Gothic churches, the aisles' roofs of St Bavo’s cathedral are lower than that of the nave, allowing light to enter through clerestory windows.

Upon my many visits to Venice and Carnival, there was one gala I saw firsthand the truth of how the historical city is sinking……well let’s explore the facts….the seawaters are rising….Continued…

Suspicious Parking in aisle 408 - these buildings looked like an abandoned army camp/munitions factory! The old truck was hauling some strange equipment, and I think whoever parked it there may have been storing stuff in the building illegally! - since the place was pretty well fenced and marked keep-out!

Happy Truck Thursday!

Or like the bride is thinking: I'll alter him.

HSS …… Haven’t been in stores much in the last 20 months, so a trip to the hardware store to get a special light bulb so our fiber optic tree would work was a real treat!! So, yes, I was tickled to find LambChop in the aisle on the way to the register— you know the one where they stock things you didn’t know you wanted but now just have to buy!! No, I didn’t

You can have your majestic mountains and tropical white sand beaches - aisle 58 is the most beautiful aisle in the world.

If you listen carefully you can hear my wife grumbling behind me "What on earth are you doing?"

"Why dear, I'm taking a picture of the most beautiful aisle in the world."

The north choir aisle in Winchester Cathedral.

A 16th century Jesuit Catholic Church in Munich, Bavaria. It is, apparently, the largest Renaissance church plus the first to be built north of the Alps. It has a relatively nondescript frontage in the main pedestrianised street but is wonderful once inside.

The Church of Our Lady (Dutch: Onze-Lieve-Vrouwekerk) is a Roman Catholic church in Bruges, Belgium, dating mainly from the 13th, 14th and 15th centuries. Its 115.6-metre-high (379 ft) tower remains the tallest structure in the city and the third tallest brickwork tower in the world (after St. Mary's Church in Lübeck and St. Martin's Church in Landshut, both in Germany).

The church demonstrates the Gothic style in the prominent Flying buttresses on the exterior which were constructed in the 1270s and 80s.[1] The nave contains cross-vaults and black and white tiled flooring.[1] The interior demonstrates the heavily ornamented Baroque style in the side aisles and chancel.[1] One of the chapels in the church was created in 1482 for a wealthy man named Lodewijk van Gruuthuse, as his personal worship area.[1]

The pretty little village of Wiveton is situated in the north of Norfolk, southwest of Cley-next-the-Sea. The parish has a long history and was established by the time of the Norman Conquest. It is detailed in the Domesday Book of 1086. As is the case with so many English villages the church is now the oldest building remaining.

The Church of St Mary has a 14th century tower and chancel, but pieces of reused stonework suggest an earlier church existed. The nave, aisles and porches date to the mid to late 15th century, and further restorations were carried out during the 17th to 19th centuries.
