Barn Swallow feeding fledglings. The little one in the background appeared to scream: What about me, Mom! Me..!!
It's a delight to watch the feeding action and how the parents kept selecting different young ones to feed.

Not having a computer means not being able to post photos from my dslr, so I went for a morning walk with my iPhone. And not being able to use Lightroom means I couldn't remove the noise from the foreground water. I used Bluetooth to transfer the photo to my iPad and processed it in Photos.
chocolates are bad for dogs but if you want to airdrop me some frozen sirloins, i'm up for it! i'd eat flowers, too.
……Probably my favourite photo from the holiday - a day when we had no real plans so meandered fairly local to base. We called in at Kestle Barton Gallery, very much enjoyed the exhibition and then went to see the wild meadow we’d seen there in previous years - we expected it to be all dried up but no! Plenty of floral delights, then I spied an artist working intently! My lucky day I thought. Had nice chat with her and talked a little about her work - a while later we both arrived at the cars together so I showed her a phone shot which she liked and ask for a copy - the beauty of ‘Airdrop’! I subsequently checked out Holly’s work & loved it. See links, well worth a peep - www.instagram.com/hollyastle/# www.hollyastle.co.uk/ Many thanks Holly. Alan:-)…….

A nice stranger snapped this shot of me treading the tide pools at Queen’s Bath just after sunrise a few days ago. Then he called me up to his rocky perch and AirDropped it to me.
Utah, the westernmost of the five landing beaches, is on the Cotentin Peninsula, west of the mouths of the Douve and Vire rivers.[17] The terrain between Utah and the neighboring Omaha was swampy and difficult to cross, which meant that the troops landing at Utah would be isolated. The Germans had flooded the farmland behind Utah, restricting travel off the beach to a few narrow causeways. To help secure the terrain inland of the landing zone, rapidly seal off the Cotentin Peninsula, and prevent the Germans from reinforcing the port at Cherbourg, two airborne divisions were assigned to airdrop into German territory in the early hours of the invasion.
Still struggling to upload to Flickr from my new I Mac. I thought I had it figured out by using my I Pad to upload but tonight that would not work. Some how through using airdrop and a download I did upload this shot taken a few years ago on a day trip from a cruise ship. This just happened to be a shot I was experimenting with. Now I have to figure out exactly what I did. Thanks to Carol for the ID.

DAY NINE Todays picture was taken recently on a day trip to Whitstable on the north Kent coast.
Woke around 2am by a restful Carys again, we slept most of the rest of the night together on the couch in the nursery, she woke at 5.20am and played quietly with her Friesian cow which she has grown quite attached too and she keeps pushing it into my face to share the experience with me, what a good sharer. Today she suckles at from Sarah at 6am.
6.20 I attempt a quick nap, but I’m called to get Carys again, no luck there, I’ll be fully awake at 9am and then it’ll be too late for a nap, but I’ll feel tired after lunch, just when Carys is high as a kite.
6.25am Find Carys in her nursery quietly entertaining herself with “Drawer Emptying”, a solo pastime which involves throwing all her neatly folded (not ironed) clothes onto the floor, sometimes she may put a few back into the drawer, but this is only when she is running out of things to empty, it’s just to replenish her own fun really.
6.30 Carys is banging her new £12-Reduced-From-£18 shoes violently (she does everything heavy handed) on the floor.
6.45am I prepare double pear and weetabix for Carys’ brekky, but Carys has disappeared, she’s not anywhere in the kitchen or lounge, nor even her nursery, I look at the open door that leads to upstairs, oh dear I bet she’s up there – she is, half way up standing up on a stair grinning, chuffed with her mischief making. What if she fell, on my head it would be, what responsibility? And they’d put it in the Evening Standard – “BABY KILLER!, Man in £300,000 yuppie flat lets baby fall down stairs, callous Labour voter Steffan MacMillan tortured his baby repeatedly over… ” and on it would go and then I’d go to jail for it and they’d probably put me on the Child Abuser wing in a cell with someone called Bummerdog or somebody like that…
7am Sarah spoon feeds brekky to Carys from a metal teaspoon, which is devoured quickly, her arms resting at her side, her only body movement being her mouth opening like a fish. It can’t be too long until she makes the step up to 1.5 weetabii can it?
7.20am Carys plays ‘Emptying Nappy Sacks’ out of the scented nappy sack container, I constantly have to keep an eye on her, this incapacitates me from doing my chores, such as washing dishes or wiping the floor. This is quickly followed by rounds of ‘Emptying Wet Wipes’, and ‘Climbing Up Green Leatherette Armchair”, all fun for her, but would get me in the Evening Standard at worst or stop me from choring at best.
It seems Carys may be left handed, she uses her right hand to grip onto an edge, and uses the left to discard whatever she can grab, what would have happened to her in the Evil Soviet Union of Baddies? Would they have taken her away from us and‘train’ her to be right handed with electro shock treatment? How will she ever use a camera properly, they’re all designed for right-handers, we’ll have to go to special ‘Left Hander’ shops, it’ll be like being blind, will they give us a special dog? Oh god please let her be right handed, oh the shame on the family! What will they say back in Wales! we’ll just make sure she keeps her hands in her pockets every time we go visiting.
7.50am Sarah tries Carys’ new shoes on again, as she is in a good mood she may forget that she’s wearing the - nope she cries, she tries to scrape them off. Is this another monumental waste of money along with the playpen, swimming lessons and the Mothercare ‘black out’ blind? Can she go shoeless all her life like they do in Fiji?
8.15am Sarah departs for work, and leaves me with a shopping list (washing up liquid, bleach, toilet roll, fruit and vegetables), a cheque for all the mortgage and a list of playgroups we can go to today, I am revved up and ready to tackle the Peckham Librarty playgroup at 10 am-12 noon.
I don’t know what to do about my voicebox having a split personality, when in the house when with Carys it seems to jump an octave higher and my Welsh Valleys accent becomes a lot stronger, it resembles that female character in the Rentaghost TV show from 20 something years ago. But in public voicebox becomes himself again, deeper with a more clipped generic Welsh accent. It seems I have no control over this toing and froing, what if my Rentaghost accent takes over and becomes the norm? This split personality must confuse Carys, what will she think? That it’s normal to for your voice to behave in two different ways depending on what room you’re in? This is no good for no one.
8.30am I put Carys to nap, quite easily today not like yesterdays episode.
8.40am I do a spot of re-touching on the actress lady, and now all three shots should be given the big thumbs up.
10.06am Carys wakes from her nap, I know this from listening to her on the intercom fridge sounding device from Tomy, I go down and she is there standing up in her cot waiting to be retrieved, she has a big smile on her face when I enter the nursery, this warms my heart.
10.40am We head out for Peckham Library playgroup, I get there and am the only man in a large group of mums and babies, I feel out of place, they’re all singing, I join in with my groaning murmer. The playgroup leader races through all the songs, I slowly edge out of the circle so I don’t have to shout ‘snake’ or anything daft like that. After about 15 minutes another bloke comes in, thank god for that, he even sits next to me, suddenly I feel my groaning becoming melodic and my back straightens, are the wonderful bosom of manhood, we even have eye-to-eye-contact, albeit one of those accidental fleeting ones, the type of glance that sometimes happen on the tube. Carys is shy and she keeps hugging me close. The singing ends at 11.33am and the leader brings out a big box of toys, the kids rush round to it like Ethiopians picking up airdrops, Carys and I depart quietly, can’t be bothered making friends with the people here, as I have to rush back home before Carys gets hungry, I could give her mushy food in public, but where is there nice and clean to sit around this part of Peckham? Probably somewhere, but I don’t know of it, next to Knife Sharpeners or down besides the Pie N Mash shop, or sitting above the Big Girl fashion shop?
11.45am Arrive home for lunch, Carys eats banana, today holding the entire fruit in both hands and eating it like a grown-up, she refuses all different kinds of mush aswell as chipolatas and pear chunks. The banana is polished with a small fromage frais, which she has never refused, it’s a banker. I eat my hastily one handed (Carys is in my left hand) prepared lunch of left over couscous and left over lamb shoulder, gone are the days of my 12 ingredient sandwiches with various side garnishes.
12.30am Carys plays quietly and I wash dishes, kitchen surfaces and some of the floor, this is the best time to do chores as Carys is content to play on her own for about an hour.
1.50pm We go over to Harry Moody for a bit of swing action, I push her quite high and she is in fits of laughter, it’s a lot of fun watching someone else enjoy themselves so much.
2.10pm Thence we depart for Telly Hill park (South) and I put Carys’ new shoes on, she crawls off in them, scuffing the tips all along the floor, she then grabs a baby-walker and walks like I do when wearing ski jumping skis – very awkwardly. She hasn’t worked out how to swivel baby-walker devices to turn and avoid hazards inn her road, she ends up shunting into the side of a car, a two year old boy cannot get out of his car and shouts at Carys ‘go, go, go’ Carys’ face crumples and so I rescue her, she sits on my lap for the next 10 minutes just watching the other kids. I meet an émigré called Felix, from Paris and 26, he’s with his half Congolese daughter, a nice chap, we arrange to ‘see you around’, that’s’ like saying ‘let’s be friends partner’ in 70’s speak. The play leader tells me off for taking the pram onto the playing surface. Everyone is friendly here and I make eye-to-contact with a few more of the parents.
3.pm Playgroup ends and everyone heads for the small playground next door, it’s all built in chunky wood, to resemble a junior adventure park, perhaps to lull the kids into thinking they’re being adventurous? Shame only two swings here, now I know why the two fat ladies were hanging out by the gate in the playgroup, so they could get to the wings first – bitches. Meet a german dad on the way out, he has a new bike and I complement him on it, I have a long chat with him too, his name is Enkle, from down near the Swiss border, he keeps barking orders in Swiss German to his 2 year old son Anton, we also agree to ‘see you around’, wow two friends in an hour, this is the place to pick up dads indeed. Great to talk to other blokes, didn’t realise how much I missed that interaction this past 10 days.
4pm As we are going home Carys cries, I intuitively know that it must be her shoes that are bugging her, I am right, no tears after they come, off, she then tears her socks off, I wouldn’t have known that just two weeks ago, I would have probably thought her tears were because of half a dozen other things first, like nappy, hunger, chill, bored, uncomfortable etc.
4.03pm Sarah is at home, she takes over Carys while I prepare din dins, carys has avocado, pear and sweet potato mush which is mostly eaten, she discards her chipolata and pear chunks, Sarah and I have fish and vegetables for our din dins, then Carys joins in and tries to eat Sarahs food, but she just wants to chuck it down on the floor too. Carys is very similar to my grandmother’s old dog Llawen, in that he would never eat anything out of his own bowl, but only wanted human food that was tossed to him from the table, the same went for his drinking habits too, Llawen would quite often ignore the drinking water in his private metal drinking bowl and lunge for any cup that placed on the floor, his amazing telescopic tongue would just suck up half a cup of luke warm tea in a split second, then he’d slouch off sometimes with a victory belch on the way.
5.30pm After lifting Carys from her high chair we discover a pile of food that she had hidden beneath her, very crafty way of getting out of eating, I used to think it was just dropped, but the pile is getting bigger and bigger.

NATO Debriefing:
Chinese Eurasian, paramilitant arms mogul, and private investor, Wohan Chu, facilitates a major arms factory in Lusaka. He may be the most powerful man we’ve never heard of. Lusaka is close enough to the Eurasian base to its west and close enough to rebel dominated territory to its east. Chu can mobilize arms throughout all of the mid and eastern reaches of Eurasian territory. Chu’s actions are clear but his intentions are not. His factory is secured by his personal paramilitary which he has amassed through funding Eurasian efforts in the Indonesian territories previously. Chu’s paramilitary seems to operate not with fanatic intent, but to privatize Chu’s control. In Chu’s dealings with rebels, his personal troops accompany the assets from the factory to the rendezvous. He practices similar procedures when transporting arms to Eurasian bases and fronts. These suspicious activities are a base for our suspicion that he has blurred intentions and a clear distrust for anyone including Eurasia; save those who he invests in. Whoever benefits from him could be a strong ally or the free world’s downfall. Your target; Wohan Chu’s domestic fortress in the most remote northern limits of Lusaka. Your objective is to authenticate our suspicions that Chu may be working towards an alliance with us after all. To do such, secure intel on Chu’s private investments to see if his financial flips in the arms trade is going towards our allies or to us directly.
You will be inserted via airdrop in a twin vessel as the UFA and Oceania personnel. You will not make contact with the UFA and Oceania personnel and you will not cut off Chu’s security for them. His security is manned by standard Eurasian troops but as our surveillance shows they operate like his personal assets in his factory. This means they are organized thoroughly and likely armed with advanced firearms. This operation is a deniable operation. However, should you find that the intel confirms substantial investments in the enemies of NATO, UFA, Oceania, USA, or EU, you will bring in Wohan Chu and an immediate air strike will be sent to destroy his residence as well as his factory upon your team’s exfil. Should you confirm that Chu is indeed an ally, seize him, signal for exfil via skyhook procedure, and leave without chambering a round. You deploy at 0300 and wear no identification. This was no brief debriefing, but this information has been under wraps for some time and the greenlight came only yesterday. May God bless you and good luck.
UFA forces accompanied by Oceania Bush War vets hit the LZ away from Chu's home. A march through the brush and they descended onto the mansion's main stairs. The subtle outlines of the NATO forces landed in, and according to the UFA debriefing, they were out to assassinate Chu while UFA eliminated security to secure the compound. This location was pitched to be a staging ground for an assault on the arms factory in Lusaka below. UFA troops were depending on NATO to take out security cams and detectors but they were never meant to. The real objective was NATO's securing intel on Chu's private investments. Being this deep into Eurasian and rebel territory is bound to attract heat.

He joined us before Conquering Nar Shadaa. He is our best Marksman. No one is saved from him. During Nar Shadaa, he really saved our back. After a few Missions, he turns out very important for the Xeta Squad. Now, the squad can´t do a Mission without him. He´s just one our our best! After our Airdrop on Taris, Lacce promoted him to the rank of a Lieutenant. Now he is together with Rookie the most important leaders after Lacce.

Well it´s been a long time ago since I posted something in general here on flickr. Honestly, I´m really sorry for the lack of activity. I started to work back in September and as many of you might know, time starts to get rare when you work. Sports, other hobbies and some parties took the rest of the remaining spare time.
But I thought a lame description of my entire life without any kind of upload would be shameful, so I ransack my external hard drive for some stuff I probably didn´t show you. As you can see, I found something! :D
Now it is only left to say that I wish you and your families Merry Christmas, a great time and hopefully, I´ll come back one day. ;)

"Wyndaru had Rhino Squad airdropped onto the beach. With little resistance, we were able to push through the dense, thick jungle. We had intel that the Blackscale Clan was just a few clicks north, our orders were to set a beacon for an air strike on the target. As we approached the target area command informed us of an increase in movement not far ahead. Instantly we head a branch snap to our left and suddenly we were under fire from our flank.
"Get down!"
"Where are they? Can anyone see anything?"
Unknown to us we had stumbled onto an entrance to their underground tunnel system, immediately we returned fire and began to push forward. After what must have only been a few minutes the firefight was over. I approached the last remaining Trandoshan and put him down.
"Basco, Copage! Status report!"
"Sir, we lost Jager, all other members accounted for.
"He will be avenged. Basco, take a few men and secure the first couple of tunnels. Copage, let's get this beacon set up and exvil."

QALANDERABAD, AFGHANISTAN - MARCH 22: A U.S. Air Force airdrop of military supplies blows off course, landing on an opium poppy field on March 22, 2009 next to a U.S. Marine base in remote Qalanderabad in southwest Afghanistan. The opium crop was slightly damaged when the airdrop of supplies blew off target, parachuting on to some of the crops and crushing them. The Marines assured the irate Afghan farmer that he would be paid for his damaged poppy in compensation for the accident. The Taliban often extorts a percentage of the profits from the farmers' harvest to fund attacks on American forces, according to the military. U.S. Marines, however, have no mandate to destroy poppy crops and, in fact, rely on local farmers for information on Taliban activities. (Photo by John Moore/Getty Images)

From Wikipedia:
The Boeing C-17 Globemaster III is a large military transport aircraft. It was developed for the United States Air Force (USAF) from the 1980s to the early 1990s by McDonnell Douglas. The C-17 carries forward the name of two previous piston-engined military cargo aircraft, the Douglas C-74 Globemaster and the Douglas C-124 Globemaster II. The C-17 commonly performs strategic airlift missions, transporting troops and cargo throughout the world; additional roles include tactical airlift, medical evacuation and airdrop duties. It was designed to replace the Lockheed C-141 Starlifter, and also fulfill some of the duties of the Lockheed C-5 Galaxy, freeing the C-5 fleet for outsize cargo. (Wikipedia)
Boeing, which merged with McDonnell Douglas in the 1990s, continued to manufacture C-17s for export customers following the end of deliveries to the U.S. Air Force. Aside from the United States, the C-17 is in service with the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, NATO Heavy Airlift Wing, India, and Kuwait. The final C-17 was completed at the Long Beach, California plant and flown on 29 November 2015. (Wikipedia)

The Siege of Bastogne was an engagement in December 1944 between American and German forces at the Belgian town of Bastogne, as part of the larger Battle of the Bulge. This was Nazi Germanys last offensive during WWII which inevitably failed. The forces involved were the American 101st Airborne division against the German 5th Panzer Army. From December 20th to the 27th the 101st Airborne division and other American units were surrounded by the German army.
Two days into the siege General von Lüttwitz offered the Americans a plea to surrender as follows
"To the U.S.A. Commander of the encircled town of Bastogne.
The fortune of war is changing (Imagine actually having the gall to think like this). This time the U.S.A. forces in and near Bastogne have been encircled by strong German armored units. More German armored units have crossed the river Our near Ortheuville, have taken Marche and reached St. Hubert by passing through Hompre-Sibret-Tillet. Libramont is in German hands.
There is only one possibility to save the encircled U.S.A. troops from total annihilation: that is the honorable surrender of the encircled town. In order to think it over a term of two hours will be granted beginning with the presentation of this note.
If this proposal should be rejected one German Artillery Corps and six heavy A. A. Battalions are ready to annihilate the U.S.A. troops in and near Bastogne. The order for firing will be given immediately after this two hours term.
All the serious civilian losses caused by this artillery fire would not correspond with the well-known American humanity."
Then the American general Anthony McAuliffe responded with
"To the German Commander.
NUTS!
The American Commander"
Outmanned and outgunned the Americans continued to fight on for the remaining 5 days of the siege and were airdropped much needed supplies to keep on fighting. Eventually they would be saved by General Patton's 3rd Armor division although some members of the 101st airborne still think that they didn't need to be saved.
So here is my contribution besides a snow plate to the Bastogne collab. I would have uploaded it before the convention like I did for my house and plates last year but I was too lazy to. Also yes I am using olive Americans in this since its more accurate.
This rifle and similar ones were used by American combat teams that stayed behind Vietnamese lines until the mid- to late-70's. all supplies were airdropped to these teams via C-47 cargo planes.
This is the last one before i get rid of the full stock. The paratrooper carbine is next up, i swear.

"Finally!" N'Case shouted. "Some droids to blast!" Being on riot duty had made us all--even me--anxious for some fighting. "Yeah, but why?" Winslow replied. "Why are there clankers on Corellia, the war isn't even here yet." "Maybe," I chimed in, "it just arrived."
First, we had to find those airdrops. We scouted out buildings in three different sectors of the capital. Nothing. "Did they forget to drop them?" Winslow asked, half-joking. Just then, my com alerted me of an incoming transmission. "This is Sergeant Redwing, of the 1st regiment. There was a small group of rebels sabotaging the airdrops. We eliminated them, but the supplies in sectors one, four, and five are gone. If you want the drops, try the second row of buildings in the third sector. Lots of extra blasters over here. Redwing, out." You don't have to be a genius to figure out where we went next.
I opened the crate, and immediately saw a pair of DC-17 pistols. "I'm keepin' these. . ." I muttered to myself. After we were geared up, we started to make our way towards the shipyards.
The choice had been difficult. We could stay and protect the civilians--who had been rioting at our mere existence--or we could stop the droids once and for all. We all decided that a little action would do us good. Though I couldn't help but wonder if that was the right choice. I've never served under a Jedi before, but I admire their quest for peace. Their value of life. Something the Republic is lacking.
But the most effective Jedi that I've heard of, like that Skywalker they keep talking about, doesn't play by the rules. Is losing the fight worth the satisfaction of playing fair?
The shipyards were abandoned. No workers in sight. "That makes sense," I thought. "They're all at the riots." Then we heard that noise. The noise of frail, metal creatures marching in unison. Battle droids. They lacked basic intelligence, but their numbers. . . Their numbers are the reason my first squad died on Geonosis. They would pay. Every last one. After all, they're the only thing I don't mind blasting, and I needed target practice.
Another entry in the books! I'm quite happy with how this one turned out. Once again though, I kinda went overkill with dark bley. I just love that color. xD
The figure positioning could be better. I was gonna have the Strike leader in the build, I even built him, but I ended up taking him out cause it was a little crowded. And he didn't even make an appearance in the log, so there was no need to show him.

Meet Litun, a very obliging Thai Bengali, who drives a tuk tuk in Bangkok. On my last day in Bangkok I decided on a final tuk tuk ride, not to any particular destination, just a ride for the fun of it. By pure good luck Litun was waiting for business outside my hotel, and even better, understood what I wanted, unlike other drivers nearby. What a hoot! He went fast but safely, weaving in and out of traffic, and seeming to enjoy himself as much as I was. When we returned to my hotel, he was quite happy to be photographed with his tuk tuk, but then began a hugely enjoyable challenge to give him a copy of the pictures I'd taken. He spoke little English, I spoke little Thai, our phones wouldn't talk to each other and he didn't have email. Long story short, I was able to AirDrop to a hotel staffer, who in turn had an app that delivered images to Litun's android phone. Much gesticulation, many laughs, and warm hugs at the end. The joys of travel. Gotta love Thailand!

Ah, so I bought an iPhone 7 a few days ago....a good $400 trade in value on my old phone, all is well so far in the story...
The new phone refused to import data from old phone....but
....they had another phone for me, which did...mostly;-)
(At home I figured how to use Airdrop for importing photos from old phone as they were being stubborn....worked very well)
Diligent about setting up the new phone 'just the way I like it:)'
...now I'm ready to trade in the old, But it had disappeared from my account!
On Monday 9/19 Verizon store will contact Verizon....and all will go well...maybe...
I've been absent from flickr due to a lot of time spent on this 'wonderful new phone'.....(well, it actually is.)

The morning after Thanksgiving Thursday, I had been googling for how to actually use the Stackables editing app. The interface and mechanism of using is so different from editing apps with which I was familiar.
Yes there are layers, and there is some rudimentary masking. But it was quite different looking from Snapseed which I've been using for a bit on and off.
Google is our friend of course and I found a blog in which the writer calls Stackables his favorite "grunge" app. By that, he means he uses it to add textures and colors in various layers.
This put it in perspective for me.
It's not like Snapseed where one can edit brightness, contrast, detail, etc.
But one can add in separate layers, textures and effects, and change blend modes from Normal to Overlay to Soft Light, basically all the blend modes one would see in Photoshop.
Getting a BFP (Big Freakin Phone), the iPhone 7 Plus, gives more screen real estate to see what one is doing. I don't have an iPad which would probably make more sense when using these apps.
This image started out being shot mid afternoon with the iphone, to catch the slanting light and barred shadows falling across the window and lamp (one of my favorite things in our house). This original image can be seen in the first comment box below.
The iphone's native aspect ration is 4:3 (I know, really?)
The image was opened in Snapseed and cropped to 3:2 which to my eye, suited the subject better. Because I would be adding "grunge," I figured I'd better make the image have less contrast. And Snapseed has great tools with which to accomplish this.
Each time I made changes, I'd export the altered image back to the iphone's gallery/albums. I'll talk about this more later.
Also in the first comment box below is the altered image from Snapseed that I imported into Stackables. It's been over a week now since working on this image, and the app was so new to me that I'm afraid I don't remember all the things that were done. Again after a significant change in the image's "look," I exported back to the gallery. Honestly, I do that more now that I've had more experience, but I did do it a few times that first day.
After adding various layers of tints and textures and playing with many different blend modes, it got pretty much to what we see here.
I've discovered that the AirDrop feature on my iPhone automatically notices my Mac computer. All I need to do is select which images I want to go to the computer, press the Share icon with which even fuddy duddies like me are now familiar, and send them via the AirDrop.
If I had been smart enough to save various iterations of travels through Snapseed and Stackables, once in the computer, I can open as many as I want as layers in one Photoshop document, do things with each layer, and mask and slide to my heart's content.
See, I told you there would be more later about the benefit of saving separate images as one goes.
But I really learned this after playing with this image.
It's been long enough that I couldn't remember what I had done in Ps with this image so opened it again.
It turns out all I had done in Ps was enhance contrast of mid tones using luminosity channels, and masking that effect from the center of the image, and adding a violet tint filter to provide contrast to the warmth of most of the tones, and masking so that only certain areas were influenced.
And there we have it. Since this image, I've been exporting from the editing apps after a significant change, so that eventually, quite a few different versions of each image are then imported back to the computer where they might be combined in Ps. This lends the ability to have a texture in one portion of an image, a green tone in another, a blue somewhere else, combining in ways that are more selective than what these phone and tablet apps can easily do.
What I think is pretty cool, is that some of these images I'm creating remind me of paintings I'd wanted to create decades ago when I thought I wanted to be an art major.
