MY CAR WENT AIRBORN @ ONLY 25 MPH AND THE REAR END STARTED TO DRIFT SIDEWAYS. I WOULD BET A LOT OF VEHICLES HAVE LAUNCED MUCH FURTHER WHEN APPROACHING THIS UNMARKED AND UNEXPECTED BACKWOODS ROLLER COASTER ROAD AT RISKY HIGHER SPEEDS.

De Ginkelse Heide is een prachtig natuurgebied bij Ede. Hier kun je het hele jaar door dwalen over de uitgestrekte heide en door het bos. Wil je wandelen, fietsen, mountainbiken, vliegeren bij de schaapskooi, paardrijden of wild spotten? De Ginkelse Heide is ook het leefgebied voor veel edelherten, wilde zwijnen, schapen en reeën. Ervaar hier de rust en de fantastische vergezichten!

Je kent de naam Ginkelse Heide misschien wel uit de geschiedenisboeken. Want behalve een indrukwekkend natuurgebied is dit ook een historische locatie. Tijdens operation Market Garden in de Tweede Wereldoorlog landden op de Ginkelse Heide honderden geallieerde parachutisten. Ieder jaar worden deze luchtlandingen in Ede nagespeeld en herdacht tijdens de Airborne-herdenking in september. Een echte must-see!

An old picture from last winter depicting a building to building jump done by my friend Walter

If he were to fall, it would have been 20 feet straight to the ground.

After realizing I've never posted it on flickr, it had to be done.

Don't do much sports/action photography, but I had the opportunity to shoot a couple of motocross riders as part of the Lincoln County Photo Fest in Caliente Nevada.

De Wijde Veldwegtunnel is een fietstunnel en onderdoorgang onder de snelweg A12 in Ede, gelegen aan de rand van de Ginkelse Heide. De tunnel verbindt verschillende populaire wandel- en fietsroutes op de Veluwe. De tunnel staat lokaal vooral bekend om zijn indrukwekkende Airborne street art. In de tunnel zijn grootschalige muurschilderingen aangebracht die verwijzen naar de Slag om Arnhem en de historische geallieerde luchtlandingen van september 1944. Deze kunstwerken zijn gemaakt door de artiesten Klaas Lageweg, Derm's Bad Taste en Simon.

The Wijde Veldweg Tunnel is a bicycle tunnel and underpass beneath the A12 motorway in Ede, situated on the edge of the Ginkelse Heide. The tunnel connects various popular walking and cycling routes on the Veluwe. Locally, the tunnel is primarily known for its impressive Airborne street art. Large-scale murals have been installed in the tunnel referencing the Battle of Arnhem and the historic Allied airborne landings of September 1944. These artworks were created by the artists Klaas Lageweg, Derm's Bad Taste, and Simon.

Dead wasps are dissected to ease removal from the nest. Here the abdomen is flown out, and less than one minute earlier I was so lucky to catch the transport of the head as well. Of course the two parts must not be from the same wasp.

Tote Wespen werden zerlegt, um den Abtransport aus dem Nest zu erleichtern. Hier wird gerade der Hinterleib abtransportiert; keine Minute zuvor hatte ich das Glück, auch den Transport des Kopfes zu erwischen. Natürlich müssen die beiden Teile nicht von derselben Wespe stammen.

When the blue hour started it was very colourfull at one of my favourite photography spots in Arnhem..... A colourfull sky and some lights on the bridge....

If you were to ask me where I was when I took this picture, I would have to say I was in an airplane somewhere over the U.S.

Die momenten dat het windstil is en de Rijn en perfecte reflectie vormt voor de altijd prachtige John Frostbrug. Dit keer in het vroege begin van het blauwe uur. De foto is afgewerkt in Luminar 4 en daarbij gebruik gemaakt van de Albert Dros captivating city scapes Luminar looks. Opname gemaakt met d ultra wijde groothoeklens, Laowa 10-18 mm. op ca. 12 mm.
