Ahmedabad was one of the first cities in South Asia to implement its own Heat Action Plan and has provided a blueprint to other cities like Jodphur and Nagpur. Officials from South Africa’s Guateng region as part of World Bank’s knowledge exchange visit take back lessons from the plan – such as its early warning system, cool roof measures & increasing public health awareness – to make their cities more resilient to Climate Change.
