A Day in the Life of India
I walked across the banks of Sabarmati to capture the wide range of activities prevalent on the banks. A river bank is a place where you find birds chirping, people enjoying the water, kids flying kites etc…but with the modernization of India it has various ironies attached to it like pollution created by the industrial dumps, due to religious activities like Ganesh Visarjan etc.
I showed this lady her photo and said 'sundar' (Hindi for beautiful) the whole family came out, so proud. Quite a moment.
