Morla, known as The Ancient One (Die Uralte Morla in German), is a giant turtle who, because of her size, is mistaken for a mountain. She lives in the Swamps of Sadness, which might be either the cause or the result of her melancholy mindset: as the oldest living Fantasian (after the Childlike Empress and the Old Man of Wandering Mountain, who are both ageless) she has grown indifferent to the fate of Fantasia and her own survival. Reluctantly, she informs Atreyu that the Empress needs a new name and points Atreyu to the Southern Oracle. Morla speaks in the 'royal we' or nosism.
In the film she has allergies to youth (Atreyu) and sneezes violently in its presence. Here, she knows nothing about the illness of the Empress, but sends Atreyu directly to the Southern Oracle.

Looking in the deepness of the eyes of this ageless Sadhu, I can perceive everuthing which has bewitched me of India, wisdom, sadness, life, death, richness, poverty, story, courage, tradition and the people. India is an ancient and strange place, difficult to understand and to know, but easy to love.

It feels like a lifetime ago I was standing here admiring the classic C&O three-track cantilever guarding W.E. Vauces. As sunset faded into dusk, the Northern came back to life. The HD dispatcher in Huntington lines up a westbound and the stage is now set. It felt like a long wait at the time, but nearly 9 years later it feels like I was barely even there for more than a moment. As the headlight of the westbound Q311 begins to illuminate the signal, the radio crackles to life... "CSXT six-forty-three west on one, got a clear west end Vauces, Q311-26 out." The train will come and go, the signals will drop to all red, and it will once again be quiet again on the C&O Northern Subdivision.
I don't like to get sentimental about too much, but the C&O from Columbus to Russell will always be special to me. I'll forever wish I could make another trip down to study and admire the ageless infrastructure along this once busy mainline. It seemed you could barely drive a mile without running into scenes like this, but now they're all gone. Replaced with modern aluminum bullshit.
Turn out the lights, the party's over.

With temperatures finally manageable, the cat again calmly surveys her domain. After a winter in which she expressed not the slightest curiosity about venturing outside, I wondered if perhaps she has finally recognized she is no longer a kitten. To the contrary, she has been out and about more than she has been in the last few years, happily apparently ageless. I remember reading somewhere that "a cat indoors wants to be outdoors and a cat outdoors wants to be indoors...often at the same time." Never more appropriate words for Star...far too demanding but very difficult to resist.

I found these worn, deserted steps hidden in the back garden, Falkirk Mansion, San Rafael, Marin County, Northern California, USA.
I thought I might have three LE shots of Mousehole that would stitch but disappointingly I didn't..
Never mind a nice reminder of where I was this time last year and where I should be holidaying right now...did this in a hurry so i bet there is a glaring fault somewhere.
Mousehole is a village and fishing port in Cornwall, England, UK. It is approximately 2.5 miles south of Penzance on the shore of Mount's Bay. The village is in the civil parish of Penzance. An islet called St Clement's Isle lies about 350 metres offshore from the harbour entrance.
