RAF Avro Shackleton AEW.2 WL747 of 8 Sqn. at Mildenhall Air Fete 1988

After a severe army-kicking by the small fuzzy creatures that make up the population of Endor, lawsuits were thrown around by the empire citing Kuat Drive Yards with providing inefficient armor plating against sideways logs attacks.

As a response, Kuat Drive Yards produced the AT-AEW as a direct "Up yours" to the empire's lack of accountability on Endor.

With heavier armor plating, sleeker cockpit design, and sensory array to detect movement in the blind spots of the cockpit, the AT-AEW is a newer, heavier, and overall more durable AT-ST.

Sadly no longer operating, always a smart fleet ...

Taken from an awkward location on a bridge near Brent Cross shopping centre. I spotted the potential for this composition a few months earlier, during the day, but I always had in mind a night time shot. The view of the elevated bend in the London North Circular road looked ideal for vehicle light trails as well as the appealing alignment of the Wembley Stadium Arch and the undulating "Here we come, here we rise" sculpture (both of which look at their best when illuminated at night). The next opportunity I had to return to this location when the Wembley arch was likely to be illuminated was during the All Elite Wrestling (AEW) event at the stadium. I wasn't sure if there would be fireworks during the event, so I was thrilled to see them and absolutely delighted that they were launched in an orbital pattern from the arch! On the other occasions I've been lucky enough to photograph Wembley Stadium fireworks, they have just been launched vertically from the roof which is a little disappointing in comparison.
