#ae_tips here is some tips to get the most out of the app fractal photo. Most people assumed it was an auto fractal maker. the trick is not letting the app create the fractal. Load up a pic. Then hit the pause button tap the middle of the screen then a reticle appears (crosshair) move that around get a feel for it. Also: pinch the screen in this mode to shrink the starting pic this adjusts where the fractal starts from. #ae_tips ........ @alipalooza asked a very good question why I choose juxtaposer over other layering apps (ie: super imposer) the answer is this: the stamps feature. When it comes to blending images I typically use blender. But I love the stamping feature and it's ease of use in juxtaposer. I do a lot of professional graphics work IRL, and needed a quick way to add detailed logos. I absolutely love that I can cut any piece of any image out, and have it as a ready made stamp for future use. If any of you have seen my #timequest series, you see there a lot juxtaposer usage. It saves an invaluable amount if time of having to cut things out to use over and over again. Also why I use the app is its ease of use. While erasing the mask if you erase to much, simply tap the screen and it switches from erase to Unerase. As far as comparing it to other layering apps I cannot do that. This one has secured a spot in my most used apps at #3. #howididthat (1) @myna_bacq had a really great pic in her feed full of color and emotion. I was inspired. (2) I used #tinyplanet to get the twirl effect. (3) Brought that into #kyoobic chose the style tab/oobic shapes. Made the page behind it black. (4) went into #photostudiofx used the invert filter. Then used the hue green hue red and hue purple filters to paint on where I needed a splash of color (pro tip: every filter in photostudiofx fx can be put over the whole image OR painted on specifically where you want. Once you've selected a filter, press the paintbrush icon in the lower right to selectively brush in the filter) (5) went to #camera+ added the nostalgia filter to add a slight bit of grain/grunge (6) used juxtaposer to "stamp" in the image of the guy in the suit. (juxtaposer is a brilliant app for layering but to explain the stamping process I'd need a day lol. I'll do a specific tutorial for it at a later date) I hope you enjoy not just the pic but the process behind it. Happy editing! #ae_tips

I love hiding minor details in edits. For example every "toon" is looking at he elderly lady eat. It's the little stuff that adds depth to a shot. #Ae_tips

HATE THAT YOUR IPHONE TAKES RECTANGLE PHOTOS AND IG ONLY LIKES SQUARES??? #ae_tips get squaready app. Click the third button on the bottom. Then the first. This allows you to see your shot in all it's glory. You can chose colors with the first button. This not only adds a pop art feel to your shots, it gives you a design space to add details (example: the man and logo in this pic) happy editing.

#ae_tips ....... With toonpaint, color isn't always necessary. If you have adequate lighting and a lot of texture in the shot, it will be all the character you need.
