Again back to the large canal on the day it was amazingly sunny yet not too warm, there were flowers in abundance of the most striking primary colours bathed in the Sunlight which as I have said so many times before, is my favourite form of photography is utilising natural Sunlight.
I took a good few that day and I barely through half of what I want to post up here.
Another week gone more or less, I hope everyone has a great weekend and so as always, thank you! :)

My partner and I were walking Bobby in Grunewald Forest, a woods/park approx 20 minutes outside Berlin, it's a beautiful place and very well kept and besides the obviously synthetic footpaths it's a very natural spot. We came into this clearing and we spotted all these beetles, which I later after researching discovered were European Dor Beetles. They had this beautiful metallic colouration to them and trust me when I say, I barely touched the saturation here, this guy was practically glowing as the sunlight caught him, looking like something from a computer game. So a la Dor Beetle, gorgeous looking bugs.

I love simplicity, but thoughts are complicated, sometimes you need a complicated image to invoke your thoughts at that moment. The story behind this image is to reflect what an artist sees through another artist's work.
It is very hard not to capture other bystanders in a public display. I took many shots with my tripod and use Photoshop Stack to remove all the other point and shooters but this photographer. He just stood there for a long time and appeared on most of my frames. So I put him back on this image to reflect his admiration at that frozen moment.
It was fun to make something out of this little Arco House by Concept, now I move on to my next project and it’s safe to say I’m excited :D All items used in this image have been put in the description in previous post c:
Aesthetic framing of fallen leaves on the ground of a sandy beach surrounded by stones, pebbles and seashells.
From a mere documentation of reality to a form of artistic expression, falling of a leaf can be an insignificant event when considered in the backdrop of huge changes taking place.. from the colossal explosion and merger of the heavenly objects in the skies to gigantic move of the tectonic plates beneath the earth. There are many more events above and beneath our Earth and the event of a leaf-fall for sure is minuscule. Dropping of a small or big leaf most of the time goes unnoticed.
Even towards those areas that are considered negligible, as is the case here.. Photography takes our consciousness from an inconsiderate situation to make it sensible. It echoes a deeper, more profound narrative.. these leaves whisper tales of transformation, impermanence, and the beauty of embracing change.

I had always fancied a little 'Urbex' photography but since my ankle injury and surgeries a few years ago, wasn't really fit enough for the climbing and scrambling often needed. While I don't condone trespassing in any way, these are extraordinary times and I am in the high risk group so sneaking past a couple of 'dangerous structure' and 'do not enter' signs actually felt liberating. Standing here on 100 year old concrete, wood and pillars above the dark loch water was a little unnerving however. I do find a certain aesthetic beauty in the decay of man-made structures gradually being taken back by the natural world though.
The Loch Long Torpedo Range operated from 1912 to 1986. Only the abandoned Admiralty pier and slipway remain today after demolition of main buildings in 2007.
Activity at the range peaked during World War II with more than 12,000 unarmed torpedoes being fired down the loch in testing of new technologies of the day. Many of the test torpedoes never surfaced and still lie at the bottom of the loch along the line of fire.
While exploring the pier and avoiding an open manhole that dropped right into the loch, I was visited briefly by a curious seal who, sadly, didn't hang around long enough for a photograph.
An unusual departure for me but for obvious reasons I am avoiding contact with people and was enjoying a day of remote exploration away from cities and towns. Enjoy!

I like the way the hoverfly matches the flower. Note the single grain of pollen on the right eye. I didn't do a whole lot to this. Exposure and contrast mostly. original is here.
