Do you see what I see?

I'm quite impressed myself.

Odd case when I admit these are far from perfect, but I like them so much I keep coming back to this particular version. Hope you like them too!

Welp, this wasn't supposed to happen, not now at least. I had something completely different meant for today's upload, and this image was kept as a backup plan.

But then Blender crashed after like 30-32 hours of rendering... I'm pretty sure I messed up the settings as it wasn't supposed to last that long. And (obviously) no useful recovery data :( I'm so angry right now!

The Farseer of Aeldari Craftworld Ermyaris was exiled by his own people for helping the Imperium of Man by the cost of Aeldari lives. Now he joined the Ynnari, the new cult of death and hope, and turned his wraithbone tower on a distant barren planet into a base for his best followers. The base consists of the tower itself, the Soul Shrine and the plasma generator. Nearby a Webway gate is located, a portal that provides fast travel across the Galaxy. Now the base is under siege by the Aeldari's sworn enemy - the Forces of Chaos.

Vigilum Class Scout Vehicles are built for speed, allowing their fearless riders to flit across the battlefield and behind enemy lines to gather much-needed intel on the Accused.

For a long time when I was at University, most of my Lego building was focused on creating armies and terrain for games of Brikwars with a group of friends. While we stopped playing Brikwars with any semblance of regularity four or five years ago, most of the models for a couple of armies have remained intact since then, in a box under the spare bed, awaiting proper photography before I can finally disassemble them. Built between 2012 and 2016, the models themselves are of varying quality, but I thought I would upload and preserve them in photo form anyway.

These models come from my “main” Brikwars army - officially called the Iustitiae Praeconum, but more lovingly referred to as the “SpOrks”. Their backstory was that they were members of a highly advanced race that had taken it upon themselves to act as a galactic judge, jury, and executioner for other species they deemed criminal - Judge Dredd writ large. I decided that I wanted these highly advanced spacefarers to be Orks - hence “SpOrks”. Aesthetically they are heavily indebted to the Eldar/Craftworld Aeldari from Warhammer 40,000, with most of their vehicles taking direct inspiration from particular Eldar units.

Looking back on the army now, it is all a bit uncomfortably fascistic for my tastes, but I thought I would preserve the models - complete with the descriptions of the units I had put on their stat cards at the time - regardless.

The Arcum Class Scout Vehicle uses upgraded versions of the engine and weaponry found on the smaller Vigilum SV. They are designed to deliver swift and precise destruction to those areas identified by Vigilum riders as hotbeds of criminality.

There are times when justice is best meted out by the hammer, the heavy-handed blow delivered by the full force of the Iustitiae's armies. But there are other times when a more delicate approach is called for, and it is these times when the Telum Class Assault Vehicle is deplyed to incise perfect punishmented upon the Condemned.

When the ordinary course of justice goes awry, the Iustitiae Praeconum calls upon the Vindicta Class Assault Vehicle to deliver squads of Enforcers to dispense justice on the Condemned.

The Imperial agri-world of Spatium is under attack by Chaos Space Marines from Black Legion led by Crimson Prophet, a mighty dark sorcerer! The remaining defenders from the 31st Tairan Regiment of Imperial Guard make a final stand near their command center, aided by Ynnari Aeldari who emerged from the Webway to fight their Great Enemy.

Here are the minifigures from my Piltover and Zaun MOC. All of them are purist and non-customized, so differences between them and League/Arcane characters were inevitable, and I decided to capture the characters' feel, not letter, thinking of it as of some alternate universe. Some characters not present in Arcane Season 1 are also here as easter eggs.

Middle top - main Arcane characters: Ekko, Prof. Heimerdinger, Mel Medarda, Jayce Talis, Viktor, Caitlyn Kiramman, Vi, Jinx, Silco, Singed, Sevika.

Middle middle - supporting Piltovan characters: Enforcers, Councillors Cassandra Kiramman, Bolbok, Shoola, Salo, Hoskel, Elora, Sky Young, Prof. von Yipp and Mauczka, Seraphine, Pantheon, Ezreal.

Middle bottom - supporting Zaunite characters: Chem-Barons (only loosely based on Arcane ones), Turbo Chemtank trooper, The Last Drop goons, Jinx's clockwork monkey, Chuck/Thieram the Bartender, Ziggs, a Firelight, Vander, Warwick, young Twitch.

Left - Piltovan extras. Right - Zaunite extras. Non-humans are beast-like Vastayans, Chireans (if pointy-eared), Yordles (if short) or robots. There is even one Warhammer 40,000 Aeldari with his Gyrinx, but he hides well! And don't miss the cameo of one classic LEGO character!

2021 was a hard thing for my LEGO models again. Adult life with all that work does not give much time to develop and build MOCs. Yet, I managed to make a large Warhammer 40,000 diorama and a smaller work which expands the lore of my Violet Verse (yes, the universe of Ernst and Isabella is called this way in English). I also turned my old 2014 photos into a Xenoarchaeologist comic book which is fully available on Flickr.

I wish you happy New Year and good luck in 2022!

Special thanks to BigStannis for raised baseplates!

When I made only two MOCs in 2021, I didn't think I would make only one in 2022. This year was a nightmare. My country declared war I did not ask for. Some of my friends in Ukraine took refuge in Europe while the others still live there, suffering from constant blackouts and bombings. I sometimes cannot bear my helplessness in this situation but I still have to live, to work, to continue my art. And while I do not have time and resources for creating lots of new ideas and building lots of MOCs, I had 4 months to build two huge cities from League of Legends universe, and this helped my mind to survive the early stages of this madness.

And the response was positively shocking. 2,600 thumbs up on Reddit, articles in American, French, Hungarian and Brazilian e-sports magazines, recognition from Arcane team. This was unexpected but very pleasant for me because I built mainly niche Warhammer 40,000 MOCs about an obscure Aeldari race and MOCs dedicated to my own fictional universes. I hope that I will continue fighting for my mental survival and making my life better, and that some day I will return to LEGO with fresh and epic ideas (and that LEGO will return to my country too).

Now I wish you peace in New 2023 Year. Let it be better and saner than 2022.

And though I had built only one MOC in 2022, I included the previously unseen WIP photos in this collage.

The skimmer can carry a Harlequin troupe on a special rear deck as in Drukhari Venom.

This is four different starship bridges I built for my Xenoarchaeologist Warhammer 40,000 story. There, four teams of different races compete with each other to get the mysterious and very precious treasure hidden inside a space hulk (a ghost ship comprised from several old ship hulls). The human Inquisitior Johann Donner (Johnny Thunder IN SPACE!!!) rides The Emperor's Lightning, his blessed Imperial cruiser, to pursue Samuel Kruger, an ex-inquisitor and a vile heretic and traitor of humanity (Sam Sinister IN SPACE!!!). The news about this treasure also attracted greedy and bloodthirsty Ork pirates led by Kaptin Grogmog Bluddhook and elegant but abominable Drukhari (Dark Eldar) raiders led by Archon Malonil the Malevolent. All their ships have diifferent designs which reflect the personalities of their owners. The Imperials prefer the solemn and traditional Gothic style. The heretics re-use Imperial vehicles and equipment, and Kruger likes aristocratic vibes. Orks, as always, build their ships from scratch, and their bridge looks very messy. And Drukhari like dark and intimidating environments with skulls and spikes everywhere but, as all Aeldari, still prefer sleek and ornate forms.

2020 was a hard year with all that COVID-19 stuff, but still I've managed to get a PhD and, of course, to make some LEGO models. In January, I turned back to my childhood ideas and made the "super spy" car with hidden weapons, servo arms and even wings. My next creations were dedicated to the Warhammer 40,000 tabletop game universe, further developing the storyline of my characters (the Farseer, his friends etc). And, of course, they represent the Aeldari, my favorite race of advanced psychic aliens there. In July, I completed the large Aeldari/Ynnari base which still stands despite constant Chaos assaults, and here I can't resist to show you the interior (and smaller images of 40k miniature-based jetbikes and cannons made for it). And in December, I added the Harlequin Starweaver hover transport, implementing my Hollow Knight-inspired Aeldari Harlequin troupe in LEGO. Oh, and the background - it matches the black and red palettes of most presented MOCs and fits the overall grim darkness of this year. I hope that 2021 will be better for all us, and may Ynnead, the Aeldari God of Rebirth, be with you!

In the grim darkness of the far future, there are only war and cute psychic space kitties!

Eldar Aeldari Purple Autarch

A Starweaver is a anti-grav skimmer transport used by mysterious Aeldari Harlequins. The Starweavers move swiflty above the battlefield, confusing enemies with holographic fields and bright flash grenades and delivering deadly Harlequin troupes to their flanks. The Starweavers are armed with two shuriken cannons. This particular skimmer belongs to the Grim Flame, a fan-made Harlequin Masque allied with the Farseer's Ynnari.

The 8th chapter of The Hour of Chaos comic ended with a shocking twist (WARNING: SPOILER ALERT!), but you may not understand why every Aeldari fears death and why to lose an Aeldari's soul is far, far worse than to lose a body. So I made an explanation settled in WH40k lore.

P,S, The spirit stone on Farseer's neck is absent in the comic itself because this part did not exist in 2014 when it was filmed.

Reaver Jetbikes are extremely fast vehicles used by Drukhari. They are armed with splinter rifles that inflict much pain on foes.

The once-peaceful green landscape of Spatium is now torn by ever-lasting war.

This is a comic based on the Warhammer 40,000 Xenoarchaeologist story that I made in 2014. The main character is Inquisitor Johann Donner, basically LEGO Adventurers Johnny Thunder in space.

In this page, the final act of the comic begins, so there will be the epic battle with Imperials, Aeldari, Daemons, tanks and SPACE MARINES soon! As such, next chapters will contain less plot and more action, and they will be posted more often - every 3 days.

The Harlequins deploy not only usual troupers, but also specialized warriors. The Shadowseer is a battle psyker who casts powerful nightmarish illusions enhanced by back-mounted Creidann hallucinogenic grenade launcher. The Death Jester likes dark humor and carries a heavy Shrieker cannon that shoots poisoned shurikens. Meanwhile, the Solitaire (called Veoniel) is a very special kind of Harlequin who travels alone and has a right to play Slaanesh. His soul already belongs to this Chaos God and he is thought to be cursed, but still his martial skills are beyond imagination. The Masque of the Grim Flame also uses enigmatic torches with pecuilar fire. If someone sees this torch, that means the Masque is near.

This base contains many places for Aeldari to live, train and practice. Some rooms are placed above ground, and others are located deep inside the mountain.

It's New Year Eve, and here is the timeline of MOCs I made based on the science fiction/fantasy universe of Warhammer 40,000 tabletop game. It shows the ongoing evolution of my building skills. The picture is clickable to zoom separate MOCs. I built a lot of different 40k stuff in 2013 and 2014, so here only the best works are given. I also had a break from WH40k in 2015-2017, building MOCs for my gaslamp fantasy universe, and here it's represented by the Great Rift which appeared in WH40k exactly in 2017.

Happy New Year, folks!

FINALLY! The Infernal Rock Train has arrived to the Castle of Cuteness! The concert has begun! The madness is unleashed!

The battle between the Aeldari of Craftworld Ermyaris and the Noise Marines from Clamorion the Yeller's warband.

The Aeldari engaged in battle with the servants of their mortal enemy. The Farseer clashed with Sonic Dreadnoight Clamorion, and Exarch Eyla fought with Noise Marine Nefaros.

Aeldari Support anti-grav platforms with D-Cannons defend the base.

The colorful centerpiece of the interior, the Fountain of Souls can be seen in its full glory only if the glass floor above it is removed. This fountain is a chalice that contains twirling souls and is surrounded by ancient Aeldari Empire ruins which remained on the planet since the Fall. The concentrated soul energy of Ynnead caused water to appear and plants to grow, resulting with a small pond and garden where flowers, mushrooms and crystals grow.

The Castle of Cuteness is a beautiful citadel when good (and sometimes not so good) characters from different worlds can meet and have some dinner. Its inhabitants do not know that soon they will be victims of Hades' Infernal Rock Train and his Jolly Grannies music band!

Group photo of my whole Harlequin detachment.

Noise Marines are Chaos space marines devoted to Slaanesh, the Dark God of pleasure. They are armed with sonic blasters which produce deadly sound. I made my first version of Noise Marine in 2014 and it was a simple minifigure. Later, in 2018, I decided to represent the size difference between a normal human (or Aeldari) and a space marine by building a larger "maxifigure". It got brighter colors and a punk mohawk in 2019 to match classic 80s miniatures. And, finally, in 2020 the figure was updated with a more accurate weaponized guitar, new arms and other minor changes.

Planet background: Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II

Chaos forces attacked the Farseer's remote Ynnari base once again, and this time, the Aeldari got help from dark and mysterious Harlequins of the Grim Flame Masque.

The base contains barracks, officer room, hangar for Taurox and command center.

Unit of Harlequin Skyweavers armed with haywire cannons and zephyrglaives.

Chaos Lord Pestilens Bubulgor is a leader of his own warband. Clad in heavily mutated power armor, he is armed with a manreaper scythe and a plasma pistol.

As the Great Rift opened, tearing the Galaxy in half, the Farseer saw his long-dead sister in his room, still alive and looking as in the distant and happy past, albeit older. She stretched out her hands, calling him to an imaginary fairy-land as in his childhood, and he felt a wish to reunite with her again, forgetting the Aeldari Fall and all horrors of Warhammer 40000 Galaxy. But this was a trap orchestrated by Slaanesh, a Chaos God, the creation and the greatest enemy of the Aeldari race, and one of his/her Daemonettes took the guise of the Farseer's sister. Will the Aeldari sorcerer be tempted or will his keen mind overcome his senses and wish for peace?

This pictures show the inner workings of the entrance stairs. The steps are placed upon each other on gold circles at the left side (from the exterior). To prevent step collapse, lots of internal multicolored supports were used. The curved walls were made with cylindric bricks and placed at fixed points on the baseplate. To remove the gaps between the ground and the walls, tiles were implemented.

The Howling Banshees are melee warriors armed with power swords and glaives. They are led by Exarch Eyla.

Obliterator, a horrendously twisted arcano-cyborg, destroys the fertile soil of Spatium with all his fleshmetal weapons including flamer and plasma cannon.

The Farseer and Yvraine conduct a magic ritual near the Fountain of Souls, a mysterious place imbued with psychic energy which causes plants to grow even in the rocky soil of the underground cave.

(Strobist info: Canon Speedlight 580EX II and Westcott 43" shoot-through umbrella immediately left of frame, triggered by Cactus V6. Cardboard wrapped in aluminium foil right of subject as a reflector).

Trazyn the infinite, an infamous Necron antiquity collector, did not forget his defeat on the space hulk and failed revenge attempt on ice world Coldirion. And now he infiltrated the fortress of his sworn Aeldari enemy to steal the most valuable and powerful thing - CHROME!!!

The troupe is the main force of Aeldari Harlequins. It consists of the Troupe Master and several players. Harlequins are not only magnficent actors but also deadly and agile warriors. Their holographic suits (or dathedi) confuse the enemy, and the flip-belts allow to perform extremely advanced tricks. The Harlequins of this Troupe are armed with Harlequin Kisses (blades with an extremely sharp metal thread inside) and fusion pistols (thermal weapons generating waves of heat that can even melt tanks).
