Nebraska City, Nebraska
Downtown Nebraska City has a lot of really great 19th c. commercial architecture. The City has revitalized and or resurrected many old signs on buildings, as well as had quite a few murals professionally painted. Normally I don't prefer old signs to be painted or repainted but the signs and murals in this town are done so well it really works here. The sense of pride in this town is obvious.
Picture was taken in St. Peter’s Square Manchester. I was restricted taking pictures there today as an advertisement was being filmed under the Town Hall arches, security kept the public away from the filming; so I moved on. I have no idea what the advertisement was for, they wouldn’t say; and I didn’t recognise anyone….! What the security guy did say was that they hadn’t planned for rain; shouldn’t have come to Manchester then…..!

The Stadler KISS 3 multiple units are certainly not among the most attractive trains on European tracks. Nevertheless, the turquoise-blue design of the KlimaTicket advertisement makes quite an impression, and so the train, as WB 960 (Vienna Westbahnhof - Innsbruck Hbf), was photographed near Niederaudorf in the Bavarian Inn Valley.
And have a Happy New Year, 2024! The Northern Cardinal is the official "state bird" of North Carolina and I believe is the bird of Christmas as well because of it's bright red color, which fits in well with traditional Christmas colors, which began in part with the Coca-Cola Company’s Santa Claus advertisements in the 1930s. These cemented Santa as the rosy-cheeked and red coat-donning Christmas symbol.
