Pour information, le jeune homme à gauche ( bermuda bleu) m'avait gentiment offert, de monter le lendemain dans le bateau, pour un reportage photo .... Il m'avait conseillé de prendre un sachet plastique , afin de protéger mon APN des éclaboussures. J'ai tout d'abord accepté avec plaisir, puis après quelques instants j'ai décliné l'offre.... Allez savoir pourquoi....:-))

Le soleil souligne les contours de la montagne d'une broderie d'or...
En bas tout est déjà ombres et mystère...
Quelque part dans un vallon le brame rauque et puissant d'un grand cerf accentue encore davantage l’immense beauté sauvage du paysage...
Vers l'ouest le ciel dans sa magnifique palette de couleurs ne sait plus que choisir entre le jaune orangé ou l'ocre de ce beau soir...
Sur ma peau l'air se fait plus vif et humide je remonte mon col et entame la descente vers la grande combe ...
Sous les grands hêtres le souffle du torrent estompe le bruit de mes pas...
De longs moments je m’arrête pour écouter la grande forêt respirer du bruissement de tout son petit peuple qui, tous sens aux aguets part pour la longue quête de la nuit ...
Là, bien près, juste sur ma droite, un bruit lourd sur les feuilles...
Un sanglier...peut être ...Des ours aussi rodent souvent dans ce massif...
Instinctivement, je serre plus fort mon bâton et reprends ma descente...
Maintenant, plus que le silence...
Tout est sombre tout est mystère...
Maintenant c'est la nuit...

Heheyy, let me introduce you my new adorable girl, Naka! <3 I bought her from my friend who doesn't photograph her dolls anymore. Actually Naka is the first Pullip I ever saw and it feels quite special to have her as a member of my doll family after all these years!
I really hope you like this new girl as much as I do <3 She has brought me so much joy these days ^__^
It's another shot from last week's Chicago Grit bike races in Mundelein, Illinois. Much of the sliding was done in camera by zooming the lens during the exposure.

An another photo from rafting tour in the north of Russia in 2016. Most of the pictures from there are the photos of my friends rafting. The river helped me shoot the emotions and the power of the nature.

I remember that marvellous sunset on Koh Tao, an island north of Koh Samui and Koh Phangan. I had walked into the sea to capture the scenery photographically and was knee-deep in the water until I felt something like a sting or bite in my lower right leg. All I remember is that I hit it and immediately left the water. On the beach I then saw about 20 small skin lesions like punctures from a biopsy with a diameter of about 1 mm and the leg was bleeding quite profusely. Jellyfish alarm! Fortunately, we hadn't been far from our little hotel and I got vinegar for the wound there straight away. You actually use this to loosen a stuck jellyfish, but it didn't do any harm either. Unfortunately, I didn't have my emergency allergy kit for such cases (antihistamine, cortisone and an adrenaline pen) with me, but had it in my hotel room...;) That could have ended badly. I was really glad I hadn't gone swimming in the sea (I never do it after sunset). In Thailand, there are always deaths from large-scale contact with devil jellyfish. In a situation like that, you actually are shocked at first.
Yes, when you travel a lot, the strangest things happen to you. Once a snake flew towards us at the waterfall, that wasn't so funny either. But the number one story so far was when we were caught by a current in the sea. Horror stories, luckily we survived.
Ich erinnere mich an den wunderbaren Sonnenuntergang auf Koh Tao, einer Insel nördlich von Koh Samui und Koh Phangan. Ich war ins Meer gelaufen, um die Szenery fotografisch einzufangen und war knietief im Wasser, bis ich so etwas wie einen Stich oder Biss im rechten Unterschenkel spürte. Ich weiß nur noch, dass ich danach schlug und sofort das Wasser verließ. Am Strand sah ich dann ca. 20 kleine Hautläsionen wie Stanzungen bei einer Biopsie im Durchmesser von ca. 1 mm und das Bein blutete ganz ordentlich. Quallen-Alarm! Zum Glück waren wir nicht weit von unserem kleinen Hotel entfernt gewesen und ich bekam dort gleich Essig für die Wunde. Man nimmt diesen eigentlich, um eine festsitzende Qualle zu lösen, aber geschadet hat es auch nicht. Mein Notfall Allergie-Set für solche Fälle (Antihistaminikum, Kortison und einen Adrenalin-Pen) hatte ich dummerweise nicht dabei, sondern im Hotelzimmer. Das hätte böse enden können. Ich war heilfroh, dass ich nicht zum Schwimmen im Meer war (Ich gehe grundsätzlich nie ins Meer nach Sonnenuntergang). In Thailand gibt es immer wieder Todesfälle bei großflächigem Kontakt mit Teufelsquallen. In so einer Situation ist man natürlich erst einmal geschockt.
Ja, wenn man viel reist passieren einem die eigentümlichsten Sachen. Einmal flog uns eine Schlange am Wasserfall entgegen, das war auch nicht so lustig. Auf Platz 1 stand aber bislang, als wir einmal im Meer am Chaweng Beach von einer Strömung erfasst wurden. Schauergeschichten, zum Glück alles überlebt.

Here's another shot of a Ruddy Turnstone taken in Ocean City, MD. This helps to show the thrilling lifestyle these birds take up on their wintering grounds. Feeding on rocky coastlines, dodging the waves as they come crashing in. These daredevil birds never stop amazing me.

When our life gets boring, we naturally tend to seek dangers and difficulty. Why is it sometimes so difficult to go with what is easy and comfortable...
The last weekend was a new experience for myself. I've never really stepped into the Australian outback. So I ventured with no real insight into it. I've now come to appreciate it. You are miles from anywhere and I did not have a care in the world. Simple things are extremely pleasurable - food, beer, coffee. The lack of communication with the outside world was refreshing. The lack of light pollution was pretty freaking great too. Time to get back out into this great country and explore some more.
