It is rare or possibly for the first time in the history of Indian Pop Industry that a debut album of an artiste / DJ has been launched the way it was yesterday.
Tejwant Singh Lamba, Proprietor CHEERS MUSIC, launched DJ SUMIT SETHI's debut album "CHASE DA PASSION".
Even after the swine flu scare the party was well attended by the well heeled of tinsel town.
The album is produced with a budget of 50 Lakhs.
And further the album is supported by a 26 city tour with an outlay of 2.3 crores worth of Media and ground events across the length and breadth of the country, produced and promoted by Talent Abuzz, jointly with Mirchi Activation. The title sponsor of the tour being Romanov Red.
Also a seperate 16 city world tour has been closed with two different promoters in Asia-Pacific and UK. Pr done by addon entertainment

JD Annual Design Awards-2009-Women’s Wear
JD Institute of Fashion Technology with its twenty chapters spread all over India keeps on adding, every year, a sizeable number of trained designers to the Indian Designers Fraternity and who, in turn, apart from upgrading GDP of our country equally upgrades overall aesthetics and beauty to match and compete with the world .
Our batch of 2006 (VIth Semester) has produced designs with fresh and innovative talent in the area of Fashion, Jewellery, Interior and Photography at the occasion - JD ANNUAL DESIGN AWARDS 2009 on 4th July’09 at Sirifort Auditorium, August Kranti Marg, New Delhi.
"ME" is the Theme for this year's JD Annual Design Award. The Theme "ME" will make you take a plunge in the world of vivid imagination of the students. The theme asks you to question ' change - the student designers would like to bring about '. Giving them a chance to attempt experiments with design and express their reasons of doing what they have done. So, jediiians are finally ready with their designs. It is an attempt to define the future of fashion. This is an exclusive show to encourage and train designers in the area of women’s wear.
The collections presented today are called -Vayam, Vintage, Reflection, Spartans, In-No-Sense, Fragile Ring of Life, Swayamvara, Hangman, Sangrachna, Angels and Demons, Maniac's, Desi Diva, Mystic Rose, Synodic 'SIKE (Synodic Psyche), In Case, The Dancing Peacock, Way Out, Look At, Glitz and Glamour, YAGNA, Saroja, Ice Creams, Maya - The Reflection, Debonair Diva etc…
The models for the evening are Michelle, Martha, Carole, Natasha, Karishma, Ruchi, Subra Ayiappa, Carol humtsoe, Oana. The Guest of Honor for the evening will be Ashima &Leena (Designers), Sunil Sethi (from FDCI).Mohit Gujral (Architect), Gaurav &Ritika (Designer), Jenjum & Jasleen (Designer), Hemant & Nandita (Designer). Industry Guests are Jetha Bhai Jewellery (Jewellery Designer), Bharat Mehra (Jeweler), Vistasp Interior, Aparna &Norden Wangdi (Designer). The show stopper will be Shabani Kashyap, who will walk the ramp for group called Vayam, which will open the show & the finale will be walked by Ms. Neekita Nigam for the group called Debonair Diva.

Mk II ring flash lightpipe system provides only 8 vs. previous 16 pipes and covers top half-ring with light only. Reason for reduced lighting is my current underwater camera (Sony SLT-a55) suffers a firmware automation flaw that has been fixed in newer versions: the electronic viewfinder "helpfully" turns black if you have manual settings that you know are OK with a flash, but since the flash is manually synced, the camera doesn't know its there. Later SLTs after the a-33 and a-55 can deactivate this "WYSIWYG" darkening, I can't. So I needed a) more focus light in the frame, and b) I can't dial down all the way to settings like f22 iso400 1/160th (my min sync) anyway, so why try to provide that much light?
In initial tests after assembly in a partially darkened room I still had viewfinder effectiveness (with the focus lamp on) at f8-f11, iso400, 1/160th. So with a 105mm macro...I'm going to be hunting a razor thin DOF for close subjects!
Another option is picking up an Ikelite strobe - since those will work in TTL mode with the housing electronics that presumably means the camera will "know" its there. A DS51 would probably work fine for macro with this addon (I'd have to print a different strobe face plate of course).
