Red cherry feared it may have an internal stone, therefore decided on a short course of acupuncture to alleviate the symptoms.
Cherry was very optimistic acupuncture was the ideal treatment for painful stones.
It had read in an newspaper article about a cherry having a big painful operation and the only pain relief administered was a few acupuncture needles, afterwards this cherry reported it had a totally pain free experience.
I myself have tried acupuncture treatment for a back problem, and after six half hour sessions o felt much improvement.
"Shake my tree"
I'm little cherry,
full of fruity love,
if you really want me,
then give my tree a shove.
The end.

Acupuncture is one of the alternative treatments for PTSD offered at the Combat Stress Reset Center at Fort Hood, along with reiki, sound therapy, meditation, massage and others. The general idea is to help soldiers relax - hyper arousal is a huge problem when soldiers return from combat.
When it comes to using acupuncture and Chinese medicine to treat PTSD, they don't come much more knowledgable than Joe Chang. He's written books on the subject, and the other doctors at the center described him as the best there is.
Was walking around and took this shot in the Garment District.

I had some heavy stuff go down in 2014 it was not the best year for me but that was the year I discovered acupuncture and I swear by it, it got me through a lot of things and it was some of the most amazing doctors I was actually living in Gainesville Florida where they had a school for it so I got all my acupuncture done by students but it’s cool that I got to be part of their process and they got to be part of mine 7/2/15

A Doctor of Acupuncture & Traditional Chinese Medicine takes the pulse of a patient.
The look of trust on the old man's face and the attentive nature of the physician made a nice image for me. Note the ubiquitous jar of green tea on the desk.

- Aches and pains throughout the body may be eased if gentle pressure is applied to the feet.
This reflexology map shows which regions of the foot correspond to the specific parts of the body.
Our feet are our roots, with the use of reflexology our health solutions are afoot.

Acupuncture administered by a local porcupine. Over the years we've had our share of run-ins with porcupines, This was pretty mild compared to most. The females tend to be a bit smarter about it and back off quickly, compared to some of the boys, who just don't seem to know when to quit.
Some Nicknames: Coco-puff, Puff-puff, Puffer, Puffball, Pufferbelly, Little Potato.
Coco came from our very first breeding, which was really not a planned thing. Weasie had six pups and we thought we’d keep one, but old Chance had little tolerance for feisty puppies at that time and he put a bite on little Coco’s snout. After the vet bill we figured we should just keep her and we did along with her sister Luka, who was her polar opposite.
Coco was very endearing and delightfully entertaining; carefree, got along with andy and everyone. She loved to run but her conformation was not great and her legs were kind of short. Still she totally had the heart and head of a sled dog if not the legs so she just had to work harder than the others to keep up.
She died in 2005 at 13 years, hemangiosarcoma of the spleen. We'll always recall her with great fondness and smiles. Little Puff-puff.

For some reason he got pretty restless and moved around a lot. Dr Susanna had already finished examining him and was satisfied with his progress.
She didn't recommend another course of five acupuncture sessions although she did suggest that most of her clientele opted to send their pets for the occasional maintenance acupuncture, like once every two months if necessary.
There were eight needles stuck into Joey's skin but since he moved around a lot in the bottom half of the pet carrier, at least three needles had been dislodged.
I do hope that Joey's well being remains as it is or improves. Although finding a parking spot is easy at the Asia Paws Veterinary Clinic, it takes 25 minutes on the road to get there with the fastest flowing traffic along the way.
For Joey who hates car journeys, 25 minutes seem to be an eternity for the poor tabby. 😼
