Stencil of Swiss actress Ursula Andress by Andy Richmond in a Fitzroy laneway. When I visited yesterday I noted that a good number of the stencils I had previously posted have been graffed over by some very average graffiti, so sad, but makes the photos all the more important I think.
Georgian doorway - Montpelier Hill, Dublin - a house with some history:
"No 41, Cambridge House is large and grand: four bays and two stories over a basement with a Pain-style limestone doorcase on the r. It looks 1770 though the earliest known lease is of 1783. In the mid c19 it was the residence of the 2nd Duke Of Cambridge, commander of the armed forces in Dublin from 1846 to 1851[Christine Casey]
This was the late Duke of Cambridge, then Prince George of Cambridge, grandson of George III, and first cousin of Queen Victoria. He was in Dublin as an officer of the army and member of the Dublin garrison. He afterwards commanded the Dublin District, and a few years later served in the Crimea, and was Commander-in-Chief of the British Army for many years. He lived here for a very short time, his residence for the greater part of his stay in Dublin being at his quarters in the adjoining 'Royal Barracks. While quartered here he was married in Arbour Hill Garrison Church to Miss Louisa Farebrother, an actress. As this marriage was contracted without the consent of the then sovereign, Queen Victoria, it was contrary to the Royal Marriage Act, passed in the reign, and at the wish of George III. I'm stampolina and I love to take photos of stamps. Thanks for visiting this pages on flickr.
I'm neither a typical collector of stamps, nor a stamp dealer. I'm only a stamp photograph. I'm fascinated of the fine close-up structures which are hidden in this small stamp-pictures. Please don't ask of the worth of these stamps - the most ones have a worth of a few cents or still less.
By the way, I wanna say thank you to all flickr users who have sent me stamps! Great! Thank you! Someone sent me 3 or 5 stamps, another one sent me more than 20 stamps in a letter. It's everytime a great surprise for me and I'm everytime happy to get letters with stamps inside from you!
thx, stampolina
For the case you wanna send also stamps - it is possible. (...I'm pretty sure you'll see these stamps on this photostream on flickr :) thx!

I'm uploading three passport photos of actress Maxine Elliott because each of them is interesting in it's own way.
Maxine Elliott was born in Maine and made her stage debut in 1889. In 1895 she joined the New York City company of Augustin Daly and appeared in two Shakespeare plays: The Two Gentlemen of Verona and A Midsummer Night's Dream. In London with Daly in 1895 she again played in Two Gentlemen and she took the part of Hermia in A Midsummer Night's Dream.
She left Daly's company in 1896 and toured Australia for a few years. She played Portia in The Merchant of Venice in 1901 and then in 1908 opened her own theatre--The Maxine Elliott Theatre--in New York City where she both managed and acted in a number of leading parts.
She also appeared in two films, one in 1917 and the other in 1919.
