I started making a felt activity book for my daughters as a way to pass time in the car and/or longer driving trips.
When I went to Pella (Iowa) with my daughters and parents in late-April, I showed my parents the pages I had completed.
My dad has been recently diagnosed with middle-stage Alzheimer's Disease. He had difficulty with some of the pages.
It made me think that, perhaps, something along this line might be beneficial to him and/or others with the disease.
Once I'm done, I'm going to make a pattern of the entire activity book and offer it through my Etsy shop. In that way, people can create their own books based on the age and needs of the children or adults who would be using the book.

The book written by Molly Smith in conduction with The NRDC which is the Nation Resource Defense Council and a wonderful cause.
The book is an activity book that teaches children ways they can help protect their environment and some the species within it. Was really fun to work on a great project. Not to mention the last two pages has more than 80 full color stickers to use throughout the book! So fun!

One of the less common "named" Armand Marseille dolls in a small size (30cm/12") and with a particularly magnificent hair-do. She has fixed brown glass eyes, an open mouth with four tiny teeth, and a rivet-jointed pink oilcloth body with china hands (slightly chipped) and pink cloth lower legs. She is wearing antique, possibly original clothes (plain cotton chemise and simple cotton print dress with lace trim). She is marked "Darling" on the back of her neck, any other marks are hidden beneath her oilcloth body.
In the background is a Dutch edition ("Onze Lievelingen. Knip-Plak Prentenboek", Allert de Lange, Amsterdam 1923) of one of Frederick Warne's "Picture Puzzle Toy Books" called "Our Holidays" (ca. 1905). These "toy books" were a form of activity book, with sheets of images supplied which could be cut out and glued onto white spaces in the illustrations.

Finally finished! It was a lot of work, but Sophia and Olivia are so excited to have the book done so they can play with it at home and in the car.
The book is 16 pages and is all hand-embroidered using the blanket, straight, and back stitches.
