Shortly before he passed away, half of Briggs' face became paralyzed - what they call "Horner's Syndrome" ... a completely mysterious and spontaneous facial paralysis with no known cause. As he could not blink or close his eye on the paralyzed side of his face, he had to wear "Doggles" to protect it from the elements.

Lucy - A481584 - Pit Bull, Labrador Retirever mix - 50 lbs - 1.5 years old
Lucy is a goofy girl with a great sense of humor, looking for an owner who isn’t afraid to laugh. She is always ready with a quick smile and a funny antic to brighten your day, and if that doesn’t work she’ll offer you up her belly for a scratch! She’s equally happy playing a game of tug, or just chilling by your side. She’s the kind of easy friend who is up for whatever you want to do, whether it’s a walk along Town Lake Trail, a game of fetch or just relaxing in the park. No matter what side of the bed you roll out of in the morning, Lucy’s sunny personality and quick wit will brighten your day.
