I found my paints, so I thought I would put them up for "A" for the February Alphabet Fun Month group.

I realize that "B" is trying to sneak into this image.... hmmm.

In theory, the primary colours are the root of every other hue imaginable. I can mix some nice secondary colours but I have other colours just to be sure :)

The Devotion of Hearing:

Samuel answered, "Speak, for Your servant hears." 1 Samuel 3:10

A flower, a tree, or a servant of God may convey God's message to me. If I have not developed and nurtured this devotion of hearing, I can only hear God's voice at certain times.

A winter hobby for me is leather work so here is my workplace. It concists of an old granite parasol stand as a hard surface.. In the background is two tool stands i made of candlestick holders and round beecwood, colored with brown leather color. Acryllic as base holder for tools. Raw hide mallet hammer with and a swirvel knife to carve patterns in leather hide. Here you have to practise a lot.

The traditional Old Marzahn Harvest Festival had not been held for four years. First it had to be cancelled due to coronavirus, then the company that had previously organised the festival cancelled its further involvement. This year there was a new start. But while the harvest festival used to have the character of a large farmers‘ market, supplemented by a few rides, especially for children, this year it was more of a large funfair, the farmers’ market was almost completely missing. Only a few social organisations, allotment garden associations and political parties presented themselves.

Dr. Elliot McGucken's Fine Art Landscape & Nature Photography for Los Angeles Gallery Show !

Will be busy printing and framing in nice large, matted formats and frames and museum glass! Five of these photos will be printed on 40" x 60" floating wall mounted metal sheets! I think I know which--will share photos of the photos hanging on the walls!

And I am mounting some on plexiglass/acryllic--front mounting them! Some I am printing on lossy fuji-crystal archival paper too, and then front mounting 40"x60" versions to plexiglass--will send photos!

The secret to HDR photography is that you want people to say, "Woe dude--that's unreal!" And not, "Dude--that's not real!" "Unreal" is the word they use when they're trying to figure out the photo--what makes it cool--is it a photo? Is it painted? How'd it come to be--how'd you bend the light that way? "That's not real," is what they say if you have the saturation/HDR/ etc. turned up too high. :)

Some (almost) final edits for my Los Angeles Gallery Show! Printing them on metallic paper at 13" x 19" and mounting and framing them on a 4mm 18x24 white mat and 2" dark wood frame. Also printing some 40" x 70" which is over three feet by five feet! Wish you all could come (and hang out with the goddesses)!

I've wanted to build a futuristic motorcycle for some time. The ideas have been forming in my head for many years and now I was finally able to finish it. Here is my attempt at a cyberpunky futuristic bike!

I also experimented with the photography with these images. This is the first time I've placed my MOC on a sheet of clear acryllic plastic. I also used several light sources with different colours.

Hope you like it!

Happy new year! Let's hope 2021 turns out better than 2020!

Abstract of Acrylic Paint on a canvas

Many thanks for the comments and Favs HMM :-)

20x25 canvas, acryllic, paper, 09

More droplet collisions

I used the StopShot Water Drop Photography Kit for this shot. Clear water droplets were being dropped into a Pyrex tray(?) filled with water that had been coloured with black food dye.

There is some glare in the image, due to the flashguns being so close to the acryllic sheet (my table was quite small), I will need to sort something out so that I can have them further away.

Strobist

3 x Nikon SB28 flashguns all@ 1/32 power behind The background was an A3 sheet of frosted acryllic (perspex).

Two flash guns had yellow gel and the other one magenta.

Triggered via PC Sync cables, connected to a StopShot module.

I always loved the landscape around the Vancouver area with all the hills in the distance and the red freight carriers. There's just something unique about the place. This is 24 x48 acrylic on fabric canvas. This not done after any specific photo
