Two ducks on Lake Grace, no cares, slowly drifting through slight ripples in the water, offering no resistance to their movement, just happy to be there...
I like this acoustic guitarist:

I apologise for the lack of comments. I am kind of busy these days...
Catch up soon... Thanks for looking ... :-)
New blog: I was looking for an affordable action camera and this is it. This camera is everything I would expect it to be.

"Cold and frosty morning
There's not a lot to say
About the things caught in my mind
And as the day was dawning
My plane flew away
With all the things caught in my mind
I don't wanna be there when you're coming down
I don't wanna be there when you hit the ground
So don't go away
Say what you say
Say that you'll stay
Forever and today
In the time of my life
'Cause I need more time
Yes, I need more time
Just to make things right..."

Today is my beautiful friend Ali’s birthday. I so wish that I could be celebrating it with her with soup and cake at QPO or sharing a Pumpkin and Fetta pizza at TimeOut, and some photography hi-jinks, but alas that is not to be.
Despite some expert assistance with image selection I couldn’t completely narrow down my choice of image to honour Ali’s birthday so this is one of two images we chose to honour her, both taken with her gorgeous Lensbaby Twist 60 lens she so generously gave me.
Such a kind, generous and beautiful lady, and the best of friends, I think of Ali and miss her so much every day. An inspirational photographer, who has touched many out there in the Flickr community based on messages I have had recently. We were all so lucky to have been moved and inspired by her photos and to have been able to share a part of our lives with her.
The colour yellow is said to represent friendship and joy, both of which Ali brought into our lives in large quantities.
Happy Birthday dear Ali-gator, always in my heart!
“Silence is closer, we’re passing ships in the night” is from “I Sat By The Ocean” by Queens of the Stone Age, have a listen to Ali’s favourite acoustic version www.youtube.com/watch?v=4E4S0XWPMgQ

Our first decent snow a few days ago and while most stayed home warm and tucked into their beds, I ventured out to a mostly abandoned downtown area.
I forgot an attachment to my tripod so I had to hand hold the image.

Sitting in a smooth white concrete shell, facing the sea and escaping the relentless rays of the afternoon sun, the acoustics of the waves smatter and splash against the shoreline with a detail that is usually only afforded when standing at the water’s edge. Looking at the sea some 15 or 20 meters away, this experience feels strange… Almost as if the sound of the sea has been brought inland.
"The Acoustic Shells were designed by London studio Flanagan Lawrence to facilitate community events and provide residents of the West Sussex town with a scenic resting spot on the edge of a sunken garden, between the town and a beach facing the English Channel."

We had an old guitar sitting at our place gathering dust after my husband’s plan to learn to play became a bit too much. With a grandson who’s absolutely obsessed with music—especially the guitar—we decided to pass it on to him to help grow his repertoire.
So pleased he played for us on Christmas Day.

Still kicking myself that I didn't get a shot straight down the center aisle of the chapel.
