Tu me rends accro à cette sensation
Tu me fais quitter terre
:) On my tourist photo tour of the Dubrovnik city walls, having extremely unwisely chosen that to be in the canicular heat of the midsummer midday, I suddenly came accros a most curious street sign reading word by word: "Cool drinks with most beautiful view" ... so, as an unsuspecting tourist, already pretty much dazed stumbling under the scorching sun and completely unprepared for what was to follow, I followed the arrow pointing to a hole in the walls... and ended up almost extremely adven-turistic ...:)
Looking from the battlements, towards St Thomas's Tower.
And accros the Thames is City Hall, where the Mayor of London meets with the London assembly.
St Thomas's Tower was built by King Edward the 1st, between 1275-1280. It has a river access that would later become the infamous 'Traitors Gate'.

Wat Arun takes its name from Aruna, the Indian god of the dawn, hence the common name The Temple of Dawn. Locally called Wat Chaeng or Wat Arun. It is an ancient temple in Bangkok located on the Maenam Chao Phraya River, dating back to the Ayutthaya period. In the Thonburi period, it used to be called Wat Makok. When the king of Thonburi moved the capital from Krung Si Ayutthaya to Krung Thonburi, he also brought the Emerald Buddha from Vientiane to Wat Arun, before it was later transferred to Wat Phra Kaew, in the Grand Palace. In the Rattanakosin period, Wat Arun was restored and renamed Wat Arun Ratchatharam by King Rama II. As an important temple in Thailand's history, there are many unique attractions at Wat Arun in Bangkok, most notably the central prang, a stupa-like pagoda inlaid with colorful glazed porcelain tiles and shells, giant statues, the ordination hall, bell tower and many Buddha statues. The imposing Khmer-style prang or tower is 104 meters high and decorated with pieces of porcelain that were used as ballast by boats coming from China. It is surrounded by four smaller prangs. Construction of the prangs was started by King Rama II and completed by King Rama IV. The central balcony is an ideal place to look out over the river to the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha.
Wat Arun is a temple that rises from the Chao Phraya River's banks. The Chao Phraya is the major river in Thailand. It flows through Bangkok and then into the Gulf of Thailand. On many old European maps, the river is named the Mae Nam, the Thai word for motherly water or river. Long-tail boats are often used for transport passengers accros the river. A long-tail boat uses an automotive engine. The driveshaft must be extended by several metres of metal rod to properly position the propeller, giving the boat its name and distinct appearance. Advantages to the inboard engine with a long driveshaft include keeping the engine relatively dry. There is much variation among these boats, some have evolved from traditional craft types. As Wat Arun is a Buddhist temple, visitors must wear culturally appropriate clothing to visit. In front of the high Khmer-style prang there two notable ancient Chinese guardian sculptures. Steep stairs lead to the top, from where there are amazing views of the Chao Phraya River.
Lokaal genaamd Wat Chaeng of Wat Arun.

Feel free to critique as you see fit, but please don’t feel obliged, I anticipate they will not be to all tastes.
°°°°°°°°°°°°°
Once upon a time, there was a big cat called Monsieur Chachou who lived in a small flat in Brussels with his mistress, Sophie. Monsieur Chachou was no ordinary cat; he had a silky coat and eyes as round as marbles. But what really set him apart was his obsession with television 🤔
One day, while engrossed in a series about famous cats on the internet, Mr Chachou had a revelation: he wanted to be a star too! So he decided to create his own YouTube channel. With the help of Sophie (who couldn't resist the idea), they filmed videos of his hilarious exploits: clumsy jumps, frantic chases after toys and even his attempts to catch rays of sunlight.
The Monsieur Chachou TV channel soon went viral. People loved watching this big, clumsy, charismatic cat. He even had fans who sent him gifts: fish-shaped toys and tasty treats.
Eventually, Mr Chachou became a true feline celebrity. But despite his new-found fame, he never forgot his roots. Every evening, after a busy day of making videos and watching TV, he would snuggle up on the sofa with Sophie to watch a good old film together.
And that's how Monsieur Chachou became not just a cat addicted to television, but a star adored by all !
Sometimes the most unexpected passions 😉

Back in Rémuzat three days later (I'm addicted, I know): more breathtaking moments. Being so close to this black vulture gave me the chance to test my new Canon 7D Mark II, which, paired with the Canon 70-200 f/4, is really great at autofocus. It makes all the difference! In terms of ISO, it's not perfect, but it's better than my 550D, and thanks to advances in AI, Lightroom greatly improves things. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have had time to focus with my old camera because I saw this magnificent vulture at the last moment and the noise would have been too significant. This image was taken at 1/5000s, while the other one was stuck at 1/4000, and the 7D II goes up to 1/8000! Perfect for super-fast swallows! What a pleasure to come back with photos!
The vulture caught the thermal right in front of me, and the lack of heat required it to flap its wings twice, and I'll never forget that sound!
I found another little feather: the second one in a few days.
More images to come!

In front of the high Khmer-style prang there a notable ancient Chinese guardian sculpture. Steep stairs lead to the top, from where there are amazing views of the Chao Phraya River.
Lokaal genaamd Wat Chaeng of Wat Arun.
